Something felt weird the moment Katsuki had entered the school building that Monday morning, like the strong, bright presence that was always a few feet away from him had just, vanished.

He sloppily threw his backpack to the floor and went to his seat. He surveyed the classroom only to realize a certain nerd wasn't here. Maybe he was late? But why should he care? It was no skin off his back... but it was strange. That damned Deku was always at school, even when he was sick and spreading his germs everywhere.

"Hey Bakugou" One of his friends called as they approached his desk.

"What?" He said in his normal, rude tone.

"Chill man. Wanna hang out after school?" One friend with gnarly skater hair asked. Bakugou fixed his posture.

"Can't this time. I'm busy." He declined.

"You've been busy for the past two weeks" Bakugou's black haired friend, Kariage complained.

"Of course! I'm going to-"

"Be the number one hero." Kariage interrupted in monotone.

"And show all you losers who's the best!" his long haired friend, Haiiro imitated energetically.

Bakugou glared at the two. "I don't sound like that." He directed at Haiiro before sighing.

"Cool, we can take the motorcycle my uncle got me." Kariage suggested.

"There ain't no way I'm riding behind you extra" Bakugou sneered. Kariage rolled his eyes and smirked, "I'll teach you to drive then. You're a quick learner."

Bakugou seemed pleased with that while Haiiro was thinking of what they could do.

The bell rang indicating that school had officially begun. Students went to their seats while their scummy green haired teacher walked into class.

"Okay class-" most students blocked out his blabbering.

After school, Kariage summarised the basics of riding a motorcycle. As expected Bakugou caught on significantly fast when they practiced around the school parking lot.

Haiiro had nearly crashed the vehicle since he was driving too fast when he felt daring which encouraged the two boys to never let him drive again.

Despite Bakugou already having a grip of what he was doing he still drove as slow as he could get away with on the open road. Much to the displeasure of the two boys behind. They didn't want to risk him getting mad for their own sakes anyway so they made no comment and besides, part of this was hilarious.

The big tough explosion guy, Katsuki Bakugou and "caution" are not words people would normally put together; unless it was in relation to their own safety around him that is.

They had decided to hang out at a café a few blocks down from their school. The three got them selves coffee courtesy of Bakugou.

"Like I said, we can try the skate park or the arcade." Haiiro said.

"Sure, can we get some smokes on the way tho? I ran out yesterday." Kariage wondered.

"No. Do you want to ruin my record? Besides that shit is bad for you." Bakugou scolded.

Haiiro used his quirk to outstretch his fingers and grab a cigarette box from the back pocket of a woman sitting by the counter.

Haiiro and Kariage high five before looking at a very irritated Katsuki, who displayed tiny sparks from his palm. The two swallowed, they should have waited for him to be distracted.

"You idiots, why-" Bakugou was interrupted as he saw a familiar face on the cafés television. The other two directed their eyes to see what their angry blonde friend was looking at.

"- Since Saturday. Authorities have started the search for the boy, though with little to go off of." the news presenters voice said as a photo of a smiling boy with wild forest green hair, freckles, green eyes and a blue shirt was enlarged in the screen.

The boys eyes went wide in realization.

"If you see this boy, please contact the following number on screen, 584-"

They stopped paying attention after that.

"De- Izuku is..." Kariage couldn't fathom this.

Haiiro's pupils were dilated to the point where they looked like pins.

"I-is it our fault? I knew we went to far but... " he stuttered.

Bakugou was silent.

"Take a swan dive off the roof of the building."

The memory replayed in their minds. Did they lose another friend? Wait, they weren't friends... not anymore. They didn't deserve that title. They hadn't for a long time.

"Let's go." Bakugou said, appropriately cutting their outing short. The other two agreed and they headed out.

Piercing, toxic green eyes where watching the three middle schoolers as they left the café from a distance. His figure was shrouded in the shadows of the alley in which he hid in.

Katsuki drove them to his place, he wasn't expecting his mom and dad outside with a police officer.

They three adults took notice of the teens that had just arrived.

"There they are." an officer said while Mitsuki, Bakugou's mom, put her phone back into her pocket.

"Boys" Mitsuki said. Bakugou was silent as he got off the motorcycle.

"Hello Aunt Mitsuki." Kariage and Haiiro greeted though they didn't sound too happy.

"Can you two stay? We need to talk to the three of of you." Masaru, Bakugou's dad, informed while tilting his head to the police officer. Bakugou avoided eye contact.

If the atmosphere wasn't thick before it definitely was know as fear enveloped them.

The two nodded and got off the bike. They all went inside where the kind officer would ask the three of them some questions concerning a quirkless classmate of theirs.
