I'm not sure if there's a species for what he is? He was created by the dream gods who assign imaginary friends to children. Sanchez was assigned to you at the age of 3. The process of fully becoming a child's imaginary friend is when the gods transport the imaginary friend like a application in the child's mind. If the child accepts (dreams about the friend once again) it means the friend belongs with the friend. If the child doesn't dream of the friend again it isn't a match.
