You look around the ball room, smiling. Masks of all colours, shapes and sizes were twirling, bowing and curtseying, the wearers looking equally divine.

"Prince Y/N of Rosethorn kingdom, may I have this dance?" A voice asked next to you, and you glanced to see who you could assume was Prince Samuel, given the way his mask represented the sun, bowed with his hand opened, palm facing upward. Your cheeks flushed a dark shade of pink as you nodded, taking his outstretched hand. He led you to the center of the room where he took your hand, beginning to sway in time with the music.

No matter how many gala's, balls or masquerades you'd been to, it was always magical. Especially when one of the men you were hopelessly in love with was dancing with you. You laid your head on his shoulder, a smile forming on your face. "You look simply stunning, Prince Y/N." He murmured into your ear gently, making you giggle. "As do you, Prince Samuel."

The music slowed to a stop, allowing you to remove your hands from around the Prince's waist.

"Ah, salutations, Prince Markus." Prince Samuel greeted, giving him a chipper smile. You bow, "Prince Markus." You stand up once more, a hair H/C strand of hair falling in front of your E/C eyes. He gently pushes it out of the way, slipping his hand under your chin and tilting your head up a small amount to look into his stone grey ones. A blush gently dances across your face, lips slightly parting. You're about to lean in when Prince Samuel coughs, "next song is starting." He says, walking off toward the food table.

Prince Markus gently sways with you, humming slightly to the song. It makes you smile. "You hum beautifully." You compliment, and he gives a chuckle. "Why thank you, Prince Y/N." He mutters. His mask looks like that of the Moon; it fit him perfectly. Oh, how you wanted to kiss him right now. . .

Your hair gently swayed in the night's breeze, Prince Samuel sitting on your left side, where the sun would rise and Prince Markus on the other, where the moon was setting. "Tonight was nice." Samuel spoke gently. You nod in agreement. "Such a shame it's not real." You give a sad smile, looking up at the sky. The stars were fading and the cloud became lighter, revealing a blue sky. "Yes, it is."

When you look back down, you are sat in your bed, the sunlight streaming in. Next to you, your wife, Princess Cornelia lays, asleep. You creep out of bed, kissing her on the forehead and making your way to what was your father's study, now yours, as he passed away some time ago. "Why couldn't you agree, father?" You ask, as you enter, looking at his urn. You already hear his answer, "because you said no, am i right?" You sneer, and sit down.

You pull out some paper, and a pen, but out it away, it was pointless. You'd just go in person.

You left the room, getting dressed and leaving a note explaining where you'd gone before picking up two small bouquet's of flowers, some white roses and sunflowers, leaving the castle. You make your way to where you knew they'd be, smiling.

Once there, you placed the flowers down on the ground. "I missed you two." You say, as tears gently fall down your face. You degrade into sobs, clinging onto the grass in front of you. "Why did you leave me?" You mumble out, crying harder.

Yet, their graves just sit there. Worthless piece of stone, you think with hatred. "I'm sorry, it wasn't your fault. I just wish I could've told you how much I loved you."

After around an hour, you wished the goodbye and left.

And, if you'd looked back, you'd have seen the ghosts of your former crushes, Prince Samuel and Prince Markus, watching you with a kind smile. Then again, you probably wouldn't have believed it were them, anyway.

"Let's go, brother." Samuel says, extending his hand out to Markus. "Yes, let's."

With that, they were gone.

Well now, now, you need to calm down, what good's this energy?
Sorry- Lovejoy is my current huge obsession. Anyway, I hope this was good! Currently, my phone is on 13%, and it's 12:44 am, but I haven't got school tomorrow so I'll be fine.

Again, i hope this was good, cause I really liked this! I'll have a few short ones on the way soon, but I'd better get to sleep now- bye!
