"Sammy, any chance i could I borrow your cashmere belly sweater tomorrow?" asked Clover as we all walked across the hall after the bell rang

I was wearing sea green long sleeves that had holes for the shoulders and stooped after my chest and high waist blue skinny jeans with my platinum hair in a high ponytail with black high heel ankle boots. 🔺️🔺️🔺️

"Sure! That's what best friends are for!" answered Sam with a smile

"Hey, what about me?" cried out Alex stopping and looking at Clover

"Don't be crazy, Alex. We can't wear Sam's sweater at the same time. We'll stretch it out!" said Clover waving her hand around

"No, Clover I meant... Aren't I your best friend, too?" questioned Alex putting a hand to her heart

"Of course, you are silly, to all of us," I said putting a hand on Alex's shoulder giving her a smile, making Alex smile back releasing a sigh

"And that's why I'm gonna borrow your leopard print sandals tomorrow!" Said Clover hugging Alex as guitar strumming was heard.

Clover froze entirely looking out of the window.

"Clover, what is it?" I asked thinking that she may be hurt

"Yeah, what's with all the drool?" asked Sam waving a hand in front of Clover's face

"I think... I think I'm in looove!" said Clover dreamily falling into my hands "Must find out who he is..." then she was gone

"Hi. I'm Clover," said Clover to the blonde boy sitting on the fountain

"Is it me, or does Clover fall in love more often than Mandy maxes out her credit card?" wondered Sam as we were watching them far away.

"What do you say we go out after school? I'll even let you buy me a non-fat latte!" asked Clover pushing her hair behind her ear

"You will? OK." answered the boy. The lovesick mood is broken the moment Mandy arrives pushing the boy away from Clover

"Sorry, Clover. Damon's already got plans after school. He's going to the mall with yours truly." said Mandy leaning her face up to Clover's

"Alright, it's time to go," I said to the girls feeling a little angry at Mandy for breaking the moment. No one has the right to interrupt my best friend's stupid flirting.

"Oh, yeah. That's right... The mall." said Damon rubbing the back of his neck. Yeah, I don't like him, who forgets the date they will be having some hours later, even if it's with Mandy.

"Well, no big deal. I was only trying to do him a favour cos he's new around here." said Clover acting like it was nothing, but I knew it wasn't "Hmm!" flipping her hair back and walking towards us finally showing her tears

"Clover!" we called out in sync running after her

"Don't worry, Clover, I'll buy you a non-fat latte after school," said Alex trying to cheer Clover up when we all sat down on the bench.

"Besides, wouldn't you rather hang out with us?" asked Sam rubbing a hand down Clover's back

"Then some dim-witted musician who chose to be with Mandy." I continue giving her a comforting smile

"Yeah, I guess so. Only... I just can't help liking Damon. Call me crazy, but I just have this thing for musicians!" said Clover shaking her head
"I've got to find a way to get his attention off of Mandy and on to me!" she continues putting her fists up looking ready to fight.
There is the most effective way to cheer her up. Compete with Mandy.
