Chapter 9 The Rumors Spread

Ironwood: Indeed. We must find those groups if we want to talk to them. But we must be cautious of them.

Atlas Female Counsel: I agree, General.

And so, the counsel of Atlas has agreed to find the "Unknown Soldiers" to get their hands on their weapons and technology to win the war against Grimm and the White Fang. Winter who is the counsel with the General, was worried that if the weapons and technology that belong to the "Unknown Soldiers" fall into the wrong hands, it will create chaos around the world, or even start a new war.

Back at Beacon academy, Cafetaria Room

In the cafeteria, all of the students were having their launch time. Among the students, Team RWBY is there with CFVY, sitting at their table and eating their food together.

Yang: Guys, did you hear the news?

Coco: About the "Unknown Soldiers"? Yeah, we heard.

Weiss: It's happening across the kingdoms. 

Blake: There are a lot of White Fang bases that are destroyed by them, many members are dead and survivors are arrested.

Fox: Yeah, those guys are destroying the White Fang. We even saw one of their bases destroyed.

Coco: Yeah, when we were sent out to save a village from a White Fang attack, the place there was empty. No bodies were found and there was no one living there.

Yang: Really?

Velvet: Yeah, we think the villagers may have escaped.

Fox: But that's when we found the White Fang base near the village.

Blake: What did you guys find there?

Yatsuhashi: Same thing on the news. A lot of White Fang soldiers are killed but we found survivors that are tied up.

Weiss: Must be the surrendered ones.

Yatsuhashi: Not only that, there has been a lot of Grimm that are killed too and many villages were saved by them.

Yang: Who are they? Are they from Atlas?

Weiss: Definitely not. Atlas said they never have those types of soldiers. Must be a new group.

As they continue talking, Yang notices Ruby was being quiet.

Yang: Hey Rubes, what's wrong?

Ruby didn't reply. Yang taps her should and it got her attention.

Ruby: Huh?

Yang: You okay Ruby?

Even the others notices Ruby was quiet.

Ruby: Oh... Um... Yeah... It's just... I miss Jaune...

This caused Yang to know that she was thinking about Jaune. Everyone else also heard it and they miss him too.

Yang: (taps Ruby's shoulder) I know... I miss him too, Rubes...

Blake: We all miss him...

Yatsuhashi: I just can't believe Cardin did that to him. Jaune saved his life and this is what he gets? 

Fox: I know.

Velvet: I miss Jaune... I hope he's okay.

Coco: It's alright, Velv, I'm sure he's fine. They only found his armor and sword only.

Fox: True. His body was the only one not found.

Blake: So you think he's still out there alive?

Fox: .... I'm not sure.

Yang: I want to beat those jerks.

Yatsuhashi: Me too. They hurt Velvet too.

As they continue talking, Weiss doesn't talk for some reason cause she also misses Jaune too. Even when she rejected Jaune multiple times that he loves her, she misses that goofball. Soon Ren and Nora came toward them with their food. Right when they arrive at their table, they sit with RWBY.

Ruby: Hey guys...

Ren: Hey...

Blake: You guys okay?

Nora: Yeah... I miss fearless leader...

Yang: Yeah... Wait, where is Pyrrha?

Ren: She... Locked herself in her room...

Velvet: Again? 

Ren: Yes.

Yatsuhashi: She's been locking herself for 12 months. When will she come out?

Ren: Never. She won't come out... She only locks herself when Nora and I went out of the room first.

Coco: She'll starve to death if she keeps doing that.

Fox: Not only that but she's been missing a lot of her classes. Her grades are getting worse.

Ren: I already talked with the Headmaster about it and he said it's alright. She's excuse for the classes.

Yang: That's not fair.

Ruby and Blake: Yang...

Yang: Sorry...

Velvet: Has she been eating?

Ren: Yes. Nora and I brought food for her to eat.

Coc: At least she has food... But will she be alright?

Ren: I... I don't know... I hope so...

JNPR's room

Inside JNPR's room, Pyrrha was sitting on her bed while holding her knees and looking down her bed. Alone. As she is sitting, she was having a lot of memories with her and Jaune.

The times she first met him

The time she enjoys with him

The time she has fun with him

The time she sees him smile

Now those memories were shattered

A single tear falls down on her bed. Soon Pyrrha holds her head and cries hard. She lies down on her bed and cries more, letting her emotions take her. She continues crying until she stops when she sees her table that has a picture frame with Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora, and Ren. In the picture, they are smiling together.

Just as she sees it, she cries gently.

Pyrrha: (in tears) J- Ja- Jaune... I- I -m -miss you... Please... Come back...

Soon she closes her eyes slowly and falls into slumber as she went to sleep.
