When One became Two!
(actually Dad when three became four!)At first it was okay, as Granny was on hand,
She would pour attention on the one who was first planned.
But on her leaving Lewis, the clamour did increase,
For Mum and Dad's precious time became the golden fleeceThe cheekiest of smiles and hugs round baby's neck
Suggested all was wonderful and we gladly cashed that cheque.
Til one day the grin did fade and the porcelin did crack
She pronounced the problem, tell me "When's she going back?"Why's she get the buggy Mum?, why do I have to walk?
Why do I have to be so quiet when all she does is squawk!?
You realise I was here first, I am the important one.
She just sits and wees and poos when all is said and done. But children learn that life moves on, adaption is their trait,
No longer a toddler or a kid, now a Mum-in wait
The image shows baby in clothes, hanging from mother's sling
And bunny hanging inside the coat, 'neath the big one's caring wing.
