𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆:
"Ouran High School Host Club is about Haruhi Fujioka, who goes to a school called Ouran Academy. Trying to find a quiet place to study, Haruhi meets a group of boys called the Ouran High School Host Club. Later on, she gets closer to the members of the host club, and they become the best of friends." -imdb
My thoughts:
❀ I thought this was a fresh and fun take on a romantic anime. I absolutely adore the characters and dub Tamaki's 'HARUHI!' still rings in my head to this day. :)
❀ I quite like the lead, Haruhi, and their monotone voice. (in the dub) It just shows how laid-back they are.
❀ Hikaru and Kaoru's...Um, brotherly love was...Definitely something. :^) Sweet home Alabama. 0w0
❀ I love the dub, I think it was done really well.
❀ Now, what I didn't like was the ending! And how there's no season two! Sadly, the first season came out in 2009, so the possibility of getting one's lower than Ace getting un-donutted.
❀ There's not a lot of sexual content even though it's a romance anime. Just some shirts off (Just the boys lol Haruhi had a tank top on) and our main character finding themselves in 'compromisable positions' (I put that in quotes because they never mean to find themselves there and the characters just get flustered by it)
❀ I find it funny that the host club is so confused by Haruhi's commoner lifestyle. (especially the instant coffee scene)
❀ Although; I felt like they overreacted when Haruhi attempted to save some girls who were being harassed by some men on the beach. (and almosted drowned, may I add) Well, overreaction in being upset with the men is completely normal but the host club (mainly Tamaki) were upset that Haruhi stepped in, EVeN tHoUGh iT was JuST TheM tRyInG toO hElP. Haruhi had to say sorry for doing what they thought was right. :/
❀ Hikaru is also just a plain jerk. >:( #allmyhomieshatehikaru
❀ Although the ending will make you wanting more, the show (and dub 🌝) has a certain fantastic charm to it.
❀ Also the theme song is annoyingly catchy and will be stuck in your head for the years to come. :^D
