Until Next Time

Cass POV

Making sure that no one was around, I peeked at her cautiously. She was sleeping peacefully, and her hair covered her face, but not so much until I could not see it. I raised my shaking fingers to lightly brush them away.

Doing this, she smiled and held my hand. As her hands closed onto mine, I felt a shiver run down my spine. I tilted my head sideways, looking at her curiously. She must have thought that I was Eugene.

I hoped that no one had seen me or followed me here - that would be a huge disaster. I was in the princess' room. I was not her lady-in-waiting anymore, so I was not an exception.

It was a hot day, and I felt bored whilst riding Fidella, and since I passed the castle, my brain decided to sneak into the princess' room. Owl was nowhere to be found.

After admiring her for a minute or two, I stood up, releasing my hand. It was time to go.

I went back where I came from, using my own rope. Before climbing down, I looked back one last time. I silently promised her that I would come back soon, even though I knew she could not hear me.

I rode out of the castle. See you next time, Corona.
