Only reason he was being kept in jail was because he wasn't going to be there that long.

It was one day before the last hearing.

"Wassup" he mumbled

His hair had grown out just a little and his face was a little fuzzy, Spirit always found it cute when he didn't have a haircut.

"I'm gonna miss you Kai"

Kaiser was never one to really cry or show his emotions but everything was getting to him lately

"I'm sorry Ava. I mean it frl, you don't deserve this shit and it's my fault. If i could've been a better brother i would've i promise"

This was Ava first time seeing him look emotional in forever.

She could see the tears building up in his eyes, he just refused to let her see him actually cry

"Why would you do this"?

"Idk, it's complicated. Just promise me you gone live your life and not dwell over this shit. You deserve better"

"I can't promise that. Your my brother Kaiser .."

"I have to go but if you want to you can come to the hearing tomorrow .. thats gone be the last time you actually get to see me. But i understand if you don't"

"I'll go"

They said their goodbyes and i love yours before Kaiser had to go back to his cell

He sat down at the table they had in there and grabbed this crayon and a piece of paper

They wouldn't give him a pen or pencil since they didn't want him to hurt himself

Trying his best with the crayon he started writing a letter to Spirit

He knew no matter what the love they have for each other will never die. No matter the situation

Once he wrote it he signed his name and put the crayon down feeling his eyes start watering

Today was the day.

Kaiser wasn't in his suit today, he had to wear his jail uniform.

He was sitting down with his handcuffs on, tears in his eyes

Spirit was there too. Last night she was a total mess. Cried every second of the day all the way till she went to sleep. Looked through their pictures hundreds of times, etc.

The hearing started a few minutes ago and Spirit was already crying silently to herself

She just couldn't believe they were about to take away the love of her life.

The jury already found Kaiser guilty.

"The jury has made its verdict. Kaiser Johnson is found guilty of multiple acts of violent and disturbing crimes against many young women. He is being sentence to the Death Penalty. May God have mercy upon your soul" the judge said before banging its gavel

That started a wave of conversations around the court room

Kaiser's mom let out a loud sob catching his attention

His eyes went from her to his sister who was crying to Spirit was already looking over at him

He sighed heavily before running his hands down his face

It honestly didn't feel real to him.

Spirit looked down at her hands feeling hot tears start running down her face
