Vampire

"No! You can't die! I won't let you!"

"But there is no one in sight whose blood I can drink, Jake. Leave me here alone and go before I loose control and attack you!"

"I can't believe this! You are a vampire!? I thought they weren't real!"

"Well now you know they are....Just go, Jake!"

"No.. I can't leave you here to die! You need blood.. We have it!"

"What? Where?"

"Me.. Drink my blood!"

"NO, JAKE! I CAN'T DO THAT!"

"You are dying MC! Please!"

I couldn't resist it anymore! I was loosing control. I quickly pulled away from him and bit his neck. I pierced my fangs deep inside his skin, searching for his veins.

I drank it. I drank his blood. His blood was just too good to resist.

I felt him getting weaker.. He was starting to get unconscious.. I wanted to stop... But I wasn't able to... This is what I fear! Not being able to stop! I don't want to kill any human! Especially not the one I love the most! I have to stop! I need to stop before I kill him. Just as I gained control on myself and stopped drinking his blood, he went unconscious.

He was lying there, in my arms, unconscious. I would have killed him! I would never do this to him again! I can't just leave him like this. The pain would be too much when he wakes up.

I took him to my house and lied him down on my bed. That bed isn't of much use to me as I never sleep. I don't need to.

Through out the night, I just stood there, staring at his sleeping self. He looked so peaceful. So calm.

Soon it was morning... Jake slowly woke up. Hissing in pain. I knew it. He got up and sat on my bed. He looked at me, and smiled. I smiled back at him.

"Good morning, Jake. Here.. Take these painkillers, they'll help you." I said while giving him the painkillers and a glass of water.

"Good morning, MC. Thank you."

"Are you alright? Is the pain much?"

"Yeah.. My whole body is aching."

" I shouldn't have done that."

"Hey.. It's alright. I couldn't have let you die."

"Why? Why do you care about me?"

"MC.. I.. I love you. What did you expect me to d-"

"No, Jake. You can't love me. You shouldn't."

"Why?"

"Because I am a vampire!"

"Do you really think I care about that? You're the only thing I care about, MC. Nothing matters to me as long as you are there with me."

"Jake.. We can't do this. It's better that we are distant."

"Why? Because you are a vampire? Aren't you allowed to love humans?"

"There isn't any such rule. We can love humans."

"What is the problem then?"

"The problem is that you are a human. You are mortal. You will grow old and die! I, on the other hand, am immortal. I will never age. I will live till the end of the world if I don't get killed. You will die, and I will still live. How will I live without you?"

"But.. There has to be a way!"

"There is."

"And what is that?!"

"Either you become a vampire or I become a human."

"Which way is better?"

"You becoming a vampire."

"Why?"

"Because if I were to become a human, I would loose all my memories."

"Fine then! I am ready to become a vampire."

"It's not that easy, Jake. The process is very brutal. The chances of your survival are very less."

"Like I said before, for you, I am willing to do anything."

"But, Jake-"

"Please MC. I love you more than I can express. If I become a vampire too, we can live together for eternity! Finding Hannah would be so easy! No more fear of the government or the world!"

He was right. But I still can't take the risk! It's a question of his life!

"Please.. Just trust me, MC."

What should I do? I love him too. I have been living on this planet since the last 400 years and I have never felt like this for anyone. I never had people who I could call family.

"The other vampires would despise you, Jake. They don't like the humans who turned into vampires."

"I don't care!"

"Ugh.. You are being so stubborn, Jake!"

"Please, MC!!!!"

"Fine!"

This boy would be the death of me!
