Skull: W-What?

Madarame: Interesting.

[Cut music]

Madarame hadn't hit Ryuji at all but Tatsumi instead. The beam of energy sending him flying back through the walls of the museum.

Joker: Tatsumi...! Shit, Mona!

Mona: On it.

The cat ran back to try and get Tatsumi healed up but before he could even make the attempt, Madarame was already in front of him. Raising his fist.

Madarame: Now where do you think you're going?

He gets interrupted by Yusuke who uses both his and Goemon's power to stop Madarame, allowing the cat to continue running. He had no words for the old man, his eyes had enough rage to send the message. He started slashing wildly at the old man who managed to dodge every attack. Before hitting Yusuke with a counter that took him to his knees.

Mona: Dammit!

Mona turns around and tries to shoot a small wind spell at Madarame, just to distract him for a bit before he made a run for it, but the artist countered with his guitar, sending a soundwave at Morgana that knocked him away. Madarame then looked at Joker, who was already shooting at him.

Joker: 'Shit, in just a few moments he already took down almost everyone! What do I do now? Even the music ended up working against us.'

Joker was broken out of thought when he just barely managed to dodge an attack from Madarame.

Madarame: Come on Joker. Aren't you supposed to be the leader of all of these thieves, the least you can do is not run away!

Madarame kept on swinging and missing as Joker was able to dodge every single attack thrown his way.

Joker: It's not running away if you got a plan in store.

Joker reveals his gun that he'd been charging as soon as Madarame made eye contact with him. He knew he wouldn't be able to dodge for a while but if he could just manage to get this one shot in then it might be good enough for something. He gripped his gun and put everything he had into one bullet.

Joker: EHIA!

*Bang*

Madarame flinched for a slight second before realizing that he didn't feel any pain.

Madame: All of that build up and just to end up missing. How tragic.

Madarame looks down at Joker with a sinister smirk.

Madarame: But look on the bright side. [He lifts his hand up to strike] I'll make a beautiful song all about your failure!

He brought his hand down on Joker but this time, it didn't make him move so much as an inch.

Madarame: What?

Joker: I wasn't aiming for you... I was aiming for the real treasure.

The guitar behind Madarame had a giant bullet sized hole in it and started to crack before breaking into tiny pieces.

Joker: You were so busy monologuing that you didn't even notice.

Madarame: Tch, like that even matters now, I have you all dead to rights. There's nobody left that can stop me from-

He gets interrupted by a piece of debris falling next to him. He turned to see Tatsumi stumble back up from the rubble a group of shadows next to him.

Tatsumi: Thanks guys, but can you do me one more favor?
