Lorraine

" Nazicism. Where and when does this began?" Ms. Crawford asked, "I know you all know about Anne Franks' story, and how Adolf Hitler has a big part in it. This system began in 1942 when Nazis occupied Holland..."

I stare boredly in front, not bothering to open my mind as I started to space out.

I am currently at one of my favorite subject. History. You may all think this subject is boring, well yeah I'll agree with that but it's not for me. I'm the type of person who is fond of learning some past events or chronicles before I was even born.

But today seems different. Ever since I stepped a foot into this school, I never looked forward to anything. Odd for me because I always am jolly whenever I go to school. Plus, now that I'm spacing out during this class.

I looked outside the window and watch as autumn leaves fall from its trees.

It's autumn. My favorite season. Our favorite season.

My eyes went wide when the words in my head sank in. I closed my eyes shut for a couple of seconds and breathe deeply before opening it again. I shook my head and glance ahead of me.

It seems that Ms.Crawford had given us some activity to do since she's nowhere in front and by the instructions written on the board, sums it all.

I sighed as I flipped my history book open along with my notebook and started to jot down the instruction by the board.

We're asked to make an essay about Nazicism system. I wont brag about how good of a writer I am and how fond I am to write essays, but to be honest I dont have any clue how am I going to start this one. I stare at my paper for a good of ten minutes but still, nothing bulged in my head.

I groaned just in time when Ms.Crawford walked inside the room, " Okay class, pass your papers in front. I'm gonna let you get your break a little early because I have some meeting to attend."

We hollered in joy, well exclude me, as Ms.Crawford shushed them. They started to get up from their sits and walk right up in front to pass their work, but I've got nothing to pass.

Collecting my books and other necessities before putting it inside my bag, I rose on my feet and started to walk by the door only to be stopped by someone clearing their throat, "Excuse me Lorraine, but we agreed before you get out you may need to pass your work." as expected, its Ms.Crawford.

I walk right back to her, sighing, " I'm sorry miss but I may not have anything to pass." I mumbled as I look down at my feet, fidgeting. I'm not aftaid of her, its just that this is my first time without any work finished.

I look up at her as she wear that concern on her face, " Why is that?" she asked as I stayed quiet staring behind her. " I've been teaching you for almost six years already and you're one of the most industrious student I've known in this school.." Ms.Crawford continued. I dont know if I should believe her but most of my teachers had the same perspective about me.

" I'm sorry Ms. Crawford, it just seems that i'm occupied with my own thoughts during your class. Dont worry, it wont happen again, i'm sorry." I apologized, not even lying with my own tongue.

Then again, she had the same expression as before, " You know you could always pour yourself out with me, you can count on me Lorraine. You're like a sister to me, hun." It's true, we're kind of close because this is my favorite subject and she's one of my cherished teachers. We've shared our stories to each other. Our bond started when I was in tenth grade, after school when I am waiting for him...

Mentally groaning, I flashed Ms.Crawford a small smile before gesturing her that im okay, " Thanks for the offer, but I think I can handle this on my own. It's my own problem to be fair." I shrugged, restraining myself from being rude.

She looked at me with some reluctance but seems to let it go, " If you say so. But just so you know, you can always come to me and share your thoughts, maybe I could help." She gave me smile before surprising me with a hug.

Giving in, I wrapped my bookless arm at her, " Thank you Ms. Crawford." We pulled away and I sent her a smile, a genuine smile.

She nods her head, " Thats okay, now I'm going to make that activity as your homework." I thanked her for the last time before she waved me off, and I'm out of the room.

Walking up to my locker, I cant help but look at the end of the hall. There is some kind of commotion going on. Shrugging, I put back some of my books inside my locker, getting what I need for the next few hours before slamming it shut. Turning around, I jumped right back when I found Mia, my bestfriend.

" Oh, fishcakes Mia , you scared me." I gushed holding a hand onto my chest.

She laughed, probably because of my expression a while ago. " You should've seen your face" she barely finished her sentence.

Rolling my eyes at her, I slung my bag onto my shoulder, " Yeah, yeah whatever." About to walk away, pretending to be rude at her.

" Hey, hey. Sorry." she chuckled, " I've got something to say though." I turn back, facing her with slight annoyed look on my face.

" Make sure this is some serious matter." I tell her, leaning myself by the lockers.

" I sure as hell does." she replied. Nodding her head towards the end of the hall where the commotion still hasn't stopped. Raising my eyebrow at her, kind of questioning what does she meant by that. " Do you know the reason of that fuss?" I shake my head, no. " They're here."

Confused of what she's talking about I asked, " Who?"

" Luke and his bandmates." Thats when my eyes went wide as I glance back at the fuss happening.

Sure enough I can figure their hairs, especially that blonde one... It's not just his hair though that make me figure its him. His head, it's facing in my direction. His eyes staring back at me. fuck.
