Reminder that these stories are in order, but not completely, they're snippets for a reason lol ~~~~~~
"Mi!"
"Ni!"
The twins would shout as they met in the middle of their middle schools hallways, giggles littered about the halls as the bell for lunch rang with its usually mellow tone to combat the mood.
Mineko and Nineko Joined at the hip(quite literally as babies) And completely inseparable the two were.
Wherever Nineko went, Mineko would no doubt be following close behind. And twins they were, right down to their freckles.
"Wanna eat on the roof?" One would ask, the other eagerly nodding along as they'd make their way up the stairs as they chatted.
And yet.
In the blink of an eye, that normality was out the window. They layed at the front gate of the school, screams and cries flooding the area as sirens soon followed after. Mineko hadn't processed what had happened till they were already pushed off the roof and plummeting twords the school grounds, desperately reaching for her sisters hand.
She used what little strength to turn her head twords her sister, feeling so tired from the warm liquid that enveloped the two, just their pinkies connected as her eyes began to shut, her sister seemingly long gone in a state of sleep. Perhaps she was just as tired as she was.
"I've got you.." Mineko would mumble.
'you've got me.' Nineko would think.
They were a pair, after all.
So why....
'why did she die and I didn't?'
She'd wonder as she stirred in the hospital bed, strapped to so many things she swore She'd get tangled. Her glazed over eyes glanced around the room, her siblings littered about the place in chairs and some even in the floor.
Then another question hit her.
"Where's dad?"
The chatter filled room fell silent, all eyes shifting twords the oldest sibling, Mino(which looked more like their father than anyone else). He let out a small growl as he finished whatever had been left his his rice ball, not exactly nothing to wipe away crumbs.
"He says he's busy."
"Hes always 'busy'."
Another mumbled under their breathe as they finished the last of their canned coffee, causing Mino to shoot a glare at Z, who faked a scared expression for a moment before they'd continue on to the next can.
"Could we not discuss this...here? Especially near Mimi?"
The third oldest spoke, though as they continued to bicker, Mineko found themselves not being able to piece the words together, sounding almost like a whole new language as a bark caught her throat, eyes feeling heavy. The shrill beep of the machine catching everyone's attention as she felt themselves sink further and further into the bed, those around her moving in slow motion.
....who were these people? Who was she?
