Beep... beep... beep... beep... beeeeeeeeeeeeeeppppppppp...
The nurses and doctors rushed in to the hospital room and tried to get Amanda out. She threw her arms against the nurses. She wanted, or rather needed, to stay here. One of the doctors asked some of the nurses to help the others to get her out of the room. They closed the door in front of her and the nurses went back inside. Amanda was left sitting on the chairs outside of the chaotic room, for what seemed as ages. When the nurses left the room, one of the doctors stood still in front of her. He went through his knees and laid his hands on her knees. Tears fell down from her cheeks as soon as the words "he didn't make it", hit her. The doctor sat down next to her and put one of his arms on her shocking back, making calming movements.

She got in her car and sat there, just staring in front of her. She started the car without knowing where she would go. She drove a long way to finally find herself parking her car at her family's old summerhouse. Amanda walked towards the docks and sat down at the edge.
Her head fell down as tears started flooding, again. Her gaze went to her right as she heard kids laughing. She saw a girl and a boy running out of the beautiful red house. The girl was trying to catch the boy. They fell and rolled in the grass. "Aaaaah you got me" his voice echoed. Amanda looked down at the water but when she looked back, they were gone. At her left, music started playing and voices were counting down, "3, 2, 1, SURPRISE!!!!!". She turned her head and saw a happy family. They stood at a new black jeep with a big red ribbon around it. A 19 year old boy stood at a brand new car and was filled with happiness. He was surrounded with his parents, who stood a few meters behind him, and his sister whom hugged him. Amanda felt the hug and felt warm until it faded away and so did the family. She lost him. She lost her best friend. She had just lost her brother.
As she wiped the tears of her cheeks, Amanda stood up and started walking towards the little shed at the edge of the lake. It had always been her brothers personal place during the summers. It's where he worked on his music dream, his 'life' as he often called it. He was going to become famous and get signed by a label. Everyone believed in him. He was filled with such a strong passion and wasn't willing to give up on his dream. He didn't get to live out his dream.
