After being away for more than a week, Raq was finally coming back to Mumbai, Shamz was happy as she could spend time with him on the days she doesn't have shoot. He had work here in Mumbai as well but the excitement of meeting Shamz was beyond imagination. He was finally going to meet her after her Dehradun holiday.
She was busy in a meeting when he texted her to ask where she was. She was in a meeting with her manager, she excused herself and replied to his text informing him about the meeting. Raq was already in Mumbai, she had no clue about this, he was supposed to reach that night as per the plan. He called her driver to enquire where she was as he had failed to get that information from her and he didn't want her to know about his arrival. After finding out about her meeting location, he directly drove down to that hotel. She was still busy in her meeting with the team and the producers. He patiently waited for her but there was no sign of her for long, that's when he decided to gate crash the meeting.
As soon as he entered the hotel, he went to the restaurant, expecting to spot them somewhere but there was no sight of them. He finally asked the hotel manager who was gracious enough to guide him to the conference room where the meeting was going on.
Before he entered the room, he dropped a text to her manager asking for her approval. Her manager was busy in finalising things for the shoot and couldn't reply. He waited for a while and then he decided to walk in as soon as he saw a few people walk out of that room. When he went in, there was Shamz with her team winding up the meeting, Raq was at peace as he didn't spoil anything for her and he was professional enough for her producers to leave before entering. Shamz was very happy to see him, she got up from the sofa and hugged him tight. While she hugged him, she whispered in his ear,
Shamz: You were going to come by evening , another surprise. You are setting the benchmark way too high Mr. Bapat , I think I need to buck up.
Raq: anything for you, baby.
The others in the room coughed just reminding our love birds that they were still around.
Raq broke the hug and met her team. He then asked her manager if Shamz had anything else lined up. The manager was happy to see them together, she said she would manage with the remaining work and Shamz could leave. Having made the arrangements so that work doesn't get hampered, Raq walked out with his lady hand in hand.
As they reached the foyer, the driver was waiting, Raq asked Shamz if her car was around, she quickly called her driver asking him to come.
Raq informed his driver to wait for her car and be with her driver while he opened the car door for Shamz to get inside. He went to the other side and sat on the driving seat. As soon as he got in and wore the seatbelt, Shamz began to tease him.
Shamz: Gentleman vibes!
Raq blushed and his cheeks turned pink as he drove out of the hotel.
Shamz: Where are we going?
Raq: You tell me! I am hungry, didn't have lunch.
Shamz: Why do you do this all the time, baby? (She frowned at him for not eating on time.)
Raq: I was travelling, also I didn't want to waste time, I thought I could eat with you. I waited for about an hour outside before I came into the conference room.
Shamz: what, about an hour? Don't joke with me!
Raq: I actually did, I didn't want to disturb initially but later when I made up my mind and was coming in, I saw people coming out.
Shamz quickly kissed him on his cheeks.
Shamz: Shall we go to Soho then?
Raq: Anywhere, as long as we are getting good food!
Shamz: Soho is perfect for that, let me just put on lipstick.
She quickly wiped off her cheery red lipstick as he didn't like her with red lipstick, she lined the ends of her lipliner and then used her bobby brown nude lip crayon to apply on her lips.
As he saw her put on lipstick, he said,
Raq: Remember the heart baby?
Shamz: How can I forget! I remember how Nishant teased me after seeing that. Our fans must have loved it, it was a cute moment.
She quickly took her red lipstick and made a small cute heart on this chest.
Shamz: Here you go baby! Revenge taken. You can't rub it off, or else you would rub my heart the wrong way. (She said while winking at him.)
He had a big smile on his face.
Raq: You are catching up way too fast.
Shamz: Of course, I am learning from the best.
They had their cute little banter while driving down to Soho, the paps were already present as soon as they got out of the car. Hand in hand, they walked inside while the paps kept following them.
After spending sometime with each other, Neha Bhasin had come down to meet them. This underrated Ott trio met finally after the show. They had dinner together and discussed things which they couldn't for the past few days. Neha didn't leave this golden chance to tease them, after all she was their Sardar baccha . She was happy for her best friend and for her Raqa , the bond which was always underrated. This bond was now strong enough to last for this lifetime. Whenever Shamz's OCD kicked in and she cleaned Raq's mouth using a tissue, Neha teased her saying that she would be doing this for the rest of her life as this man would never learn to eat without having food all over him. They all laughed louder than usual as they knew this could possibly be the case. Raq and Neha understood each other like nobody else and a little naughty side to the both of them helped in making this bond stronger. The trio had a ball discussing all the stupid fights and misunderstandings they had in the past but as they say all is well that ends well, they were stronger now and that's what really mattered. A night full of good food, good drinks and great company is a night to remember. They didn't realise that they had spent a long time together, they just knew they were having fun. With a lot of love and affection for one another, that night came to an end as they decided to leave. The trio hugged each other, Raq and Shamz bid Neha goodbye and got into the car. Shamz held his hand tight, rested her head on his shoulder and felt the peace she had missed for the past few days. Raq himself was also at peace after seeing her, they didn't like being apart for long anymore. However, they figured out how to strike that balance.
