Losing Hope.

Only Two Left

I would say it's been three months since this world gone to shit had happened.

Its only been me and Clarise.
My brother and dad went missing and Clarise always thinks the worst.

We are with a group of survivors
The leader of the group is dating my sister
He is an ass.

I pull on black skinny jeans, a black singlet, a black checkered jacket and black combat boots.
Yes its a lot of black but I find it the only good color to wear cause it doesn't show stains.

I walk out of my room...which is a storage closet that's how much Paul hates me
Paul is the leader of the group I'm in and he is dating my sister
The closet I sleep in is very small I don't have a mattress I sleep on the floor with a blanket and pillow and my bag and weapons are in there as well.

I grab a knife and a gun and head outside.
I see Clarise with Paul
She sees me and waves me over I sigh and go over there

"Hey little one" Clarise says Paul sees me and....smiles?
Ugh..yuck.
"Hey Clari" I say
"Paul" I say he nods
"We are going on a run" Calrise says
"Can I come?" I ask
Paul and Clarise look at each other
"Sure"
I smile and hop in the car

We pull up to a store and it looks like it hasn't been raided.
We go in
Of course Paul and Clarise go together
I go with Kyle
Kyle was the only one who accepted me into the group
Its cause I'm the only kid
Kyle is like another brother to me

"Hey short fry" he points down the end of the isle and it was the candy section I look at him and he smiles and nods
I get excited and run down to the end
I look around and see skittles
Mmmm
I grab a packet and start eating some
Kyle came beside me
"Already eating it" he laughs
"We should call the alien things skitters cause it sounds like skittles" I say
"Have you tasted an alien or something eww why would you name it something sounding like skittles" he laughs
"I don't know I thought it sounded cool" I shrug he nods
"Skitters it is then" I smile at him and he smiles back
We were about to go down the next isle when we hear gun shots
Me and Kyle look at each other and run to the shots
We see Clarise running down crying she stops in front of us and kyle pulls us into an office looking room

"They got him Kyle...they got Paul" she cries out
Kyle looks down then starts pacing
"Alright we still have people out there I will gather them up you two stay here" kyle says
"No Kyle don't go please" I pled
He bends down to my height
"Its alright kiddo I'll be back take care of your sister she's not in a very stable state"
We look at Clarise I nod
A tear escapes my eye
"Promise you will be back?"
"I promise" kyle says then hugs me

I watch Kyle leave and as soon as that door closes I sink to the floor
"What are we going to do" Clarise says
Guns shots and screams were heard
"Clarise"
She looks at me
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry you lost Paul he made you really happy but I don't want to loose my sister. Please don't leave Clarise please don't" I say about to cry
Clarise comes up to me and makes me stand up
"I'm ok alright I'm fine we will get through this I love you and you won't loose me I promise" just as she says that a skitter came up behind her and stabbed her
I scream
I grab my gun and start shooting it but its hardly doing anything I grab my knife and run up to it and put my hand with the knife in its mouth and stab whatever I could
It soon sinks down to the floor
I drop my knife and grab Clarise
Tears running down my face
One after another
"Clarise wake up please wake up don't leave me" I cry
I look at her and see her stop breathing I put my head on her shoulder and cry my eyes out

I stand up and grab my gun and knife
Grabbing Clarise's Hands I drag her out of the office still crying
It was too silent but I don't care as I make my way to the front door I see dead bodies and dead skitter bodies
As I get outside still dragging Clarise
I stop for a breath still crying

I felt a hand on my shoulder and flinched
"Hope" I hear Kyles voice and that just breakes me more
I fall to my knees crying
I feel arms wrap around me
Turning me around and sitting me on their lap
"I'm sorry Hope I should have been there I'm so sorry"
"Shes gone Kyle she left me everyone is leaving me please don't leave Kyle. Please don't leave me like everyone else" I cry

"I won't kiddo I promise" he says
After awhile of crying I past out in Kyle's arms.
