I took a step back with my mouth ajar, my eyes widen in shock as tears fill the brim of my eye. She looked at me as if she, herself didn't believe what she said. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath but what happened next, left me speechless. She wrapped her arms around me and embraced me in a hug, I stood there unaware of how to respond. 'What's going on?' I wonder, and for the first time in my life, I had no idea what was going on. I felt a surge of love, acceptance and joy that had been missing for a while now. I returned the hug with just as much passion. This was perfect, I could stay like this forever. I had been longing for this since so long now. I finally felt like I was worth something. After a couple of moments, we broke the hug and silence filled the atmosphere. This wasn't awkward silence though, it was rather warm and comforting.
