"Hello," she said walking up to him. She couldn't stop thinking of him the night before. His dark hair, the colorful scenes of untold stories littering his skin, the way his cigarettes smelled and how he didn't seem to care what people thought.

"What?" he said simply.

She frowned. Had she done something wrong? Was he joking? Did they have to go through everything all over again?

She didn't show her fear. Normally, that's all she did, but with him she felt a newfound bravery deep within her.

"Cigarette?" she asked. Without looking up he nodded handing her his pack.

He watched as she lit it and inhaled.

He watched her like she was the only living thing in the whole park. Like she was the most interesting movie and he was a pretentious film critic. He watched her like she was the only thing worth watching, because to him in that moment she was.

He'd never seen anything as beautiful as her, but he didn't want her to know that.
