- ________? - Will calls from outside my door.

- I'm coming! - I shout, running and unlocking my bedroom's door.

I open the door and stare at the view in front of me. Will looked really good. I didn't think Mark would lend him a suit, but he did, and Will looked exquisite.

- With you dressing up so fancy, I'll feel bad dressed next to you. - I joke, crossing my arms.

- Don't worry about that. You look breathtaking. - he says with a smirk, leaning on the doorframe, obviously teasing me.

- Yeah yeah. Lie more, asshole. - I say, walking past him and leaving him behind. He chuckles warmly and follows me.

We leave my house and enter the car. I would take Will to the cafe, since his shift was earlier than mine. I wonder if it was a good idea for him to use that suit to work... What if he gets Mark's clothes dirty with coffee stains? I just hope he's careful. His shift will be with Emma, and Robin and I will spend some time together, I can't wait.
We finally get to the cafe, and quickly enter it. Emma had opened it already but it was still empty, no customers at all.

- Good morning, everyone. - I say, smiling.

- Good morning, _______! - Emma says with her bright smile. She looks down, now shy. - Good morning, Will...

- Morning. - he says emotionless, not even looking at her. The clime gets tense so I speak to make things less weird.

- So... Where's Robin? - I ask Emma, making Will quickly turn his head to look at me, curious.

- What do you think of looking to your right? - Emma says, giggling.

- Uh? - I mumble, confused. I look to my right, just like Emma said, and I find Robin sitting at one of the tables, looking at me with a smile. I smile back and walk towards them. - There you are.

- Good morning, _______. - Robin says, giggling.

- Good morning. What are we going to do, hm? - I ask with a smirk, placing my hands on the table and leaning closer to them, making them blush.

- Uhm... Well... What... What do you want to do? - Robin almost stutters, keeping it cool, but I could see through their mask, I did something... And I liked it.

- What about we go to the mall? - I ask with a smile.

I had been planning on taking Robin to the mall with me, and only me, for a while. I saw something on a store on the other day and I wanted to buy it for them. Knowing Robin well, I knew they would love to receive that. It was my secret weapon.

- The mall sounds nice. - Robin says, smiling.

- Alright! It's decided. - I then turn to Will and Emma. - Good luck you two.

- Thanks... - Will says, quite bothered, but I couldn't understand why.

- Now, shall we go? - I say to Robin. They nod and we intertwine our arms.

- Bye! Have fun! - Emma says as we leave the cafe.

We walk our way to the mall, since it wasn't far from our workplace, and chatted all the way. Robin was a wonderful company. We laughed and talked. It was really nice. I felt honored for being one of the not many people Robin feels completely comfortable with and open themselves with. They've always been a really reserved person but with me, they were themselves, their true selves. After getting to the mall, we enter some of Robin's favorite stores. We took a look at the clothes and Robin ended up trying some of them. They looked breathtaking, stunning, beautiful, perfect. It was a lovely sight to look at. We were having a lot of fun. Soon, we walk by the store that had what I wanted to buy them. A jewelry store. Even though Robin was a genderfluid person, they always loved jewelry. And on the other day, I saw a beautiful pair of earrings that I knew they would love. It was a Loki themed earring. It was Loki's helmet with a little green stone, probably an emerald. I knew Robin loved that character, one of their favorites, so it was the best gift I could give them. It was a limited Marvel edition of necklaces, earrings and rings. It was now or never.

- Hey, Robin? - I say.

- Yeah? - they respond with a smile.

- I have to go to the bathroom, can you wait for me at the dining area? - I ask.

- Alright. - they nod.

- I'll be back soon. - I say as they leave.

A determinated smile spreads on my face and I quickly make my way to the store. I enter it and wait in line to be attended. Soon, it was my turn.

- Good morning. What can I do for you? - the attendant says with a warm smile.

- Good morning! I would like to buy that earrings right there. - I show them the earrings.

- Alright. I'll be back. - they say and get the earrings for me.

- Excuse me, I have to ask something... Is this a real emerald? - I ask.

- It is. It might not be very big, but it is a real emerald. And yes, this is real gold as well. - they say, their smile never fading.

- Wonderful. How much it is? - I ask, taking my wallet out.

- It will be... $861,19. - they say.

I try to not look nervous. Was that too expensive? Was that actually cheap? I had no idea, but for Robin, it's worth it. I give them my credit card and pay.

- Would you like to have a bag? - they ask.

- No, thank you. - I say.

- Alright. There you go. Come back soon. - they say, smiling.

I thank them again and leave. Outside the store I sigh. I shake my head and remember myself why I did that. For Robin. I make my way to the dining area, looking around and trying to find them. Soon, I see someone waving at me, it was them. I walk towards the table where Robin was sitting. They were eating chicken nuggets, and I laugh.

- Did I take so long that you got hungry? - I ask, chuckling.

- Exactly. What took you so long? - they ask, putting another chicken nugget on their mouths.

- Well... This. - I say, putting the earrings' box on the table, in front of them.

- What's this? - they ask, looking at me.

- Open it. - I say, smiling.

Robin carefully and slowly opens the box, as if they were afraid of what was inside of it. Soon, they see what was inside and quickly close it, their eyes getting teary.

- You didn't... - they say, unbelieving.

- I did. - I say, chuckling.

- No, you didn't. - they open the box again and cover their mouth with their hand. - This is so expensive! I saw it on the other day and was going to buy it but when I saw the price I changed my mind. Why did you buy this?

- Well... I knew you would like it. - I respond with a shy smile.

- _______... You shouldn't have bought this... It was so expensive... - They say.

- For you, it was worth it. - I smile. - Now put it on.

They slowly nod and take off the earring they were wearing. They carefully grab one of the Loki earrings and wear it, soon doing the same with the other one. They took their phone out and clicked on the camera, using it as a mirror.

- So, what do you think? - I ask, smiling.

- I loved it. - they say, still unbelieving that they received it.

- I'm glad. - I say. I quickly steal one of their chicken nuggets and put it in my mouth.

- Hey! - they complain. - That's my nugget!

- Consider it a payment for the earrings. - I say, winking at them.

We both laugh and soon continue our little "date".
