thomas jones
thursday, september 21
9 am

i was making myself a coffee when my phone began to rang. i grabbed it and took a look on the display. work.
" thomas jones. " i started the call.
" hey thomas, there's a case for you. in rosewood, at the international boarding school. the principal just called. i think it's something serious. some officers are already there, but i think you should come too. seems like we'll have to do a few
interrogations. " robin, one of my coworkers, told me.
" what exactly happened? "
" four girl got murdered. not just poisoned or something, they got stabbed. you can take a look at the corpses before the forensic scientist does. "
" okay, rosewood right? I'll be there in twenty minutes. " i said and ended the call.
i put on my uniform and took my keys.

the first thing i saw when i entered the school campus was chaos. teens everywhere panicking.
" thomas, finally you're here. we tried to make them calm down, but as you see it didn't work out. well, i think we should take a look at the girls and then start to interrogate, because a few already left and there's nothing we can do to stop them. " robin told me and showed me where we had to go.
they were in an ambulance covered with sheets. the look at their blood covered bodys made me want to throw up.
" how old were they? " i asked.
" seventeen. " was the answer.
" did you already call the parents? "
" yes, i think they'll be here soon. also some psychologists are coming. i think it won't take long 'till everyone knows what happened. we better have someone here to talk with them. "
" fine. do you have any files done yet? i would like to take a look t them before interrogating. "
" yes, i'll hand them to you in a minute, but we have to wait until we get at least the roughly time of their death. " robin told me before we left.

only half an hour passed until we got the certain point of time the girl died. now we could start to ask everyone to give us answers to our questions. we and four other agents got some empty classrooms for the questioning.
robin and i asked students and teachers what they did between 6 pm and 5 am.
most of the statements seemed to be correct and got confirmed by other students, but some seemed to be a bit suspicious.
after the other two teams were done with their interrogation too, we left the campus at four pm and it took three more hours for us the compare everything and look for possibly suspects.

there were only six suspects with not confirmed excuses or other things that didn't fit in, after almost nine hours of work.

we read the statements again and again, but it changed nothing.
while elodie rogers, who preferred to be called el, just said they were alone all the time, had simply no alibi, a girl named christine adams told us a story no one else confirmed.
as she said she spend the evening with her friends at dinner and afterwards went to sleep in her dorm, but no one of her 'friends' said she was with them while eating. even the sleeping story wasn't true, as her roommates heard her leave the dorm at two am for at least half an hour.
then there was also viviane macris who had missing details in her statement, after we made some enquiries and aaron sparks who's answers to our questions weren't giving us any useful information.
also there were adelaide james and jackson prichard who seemed to give each other an alibi, but ignored some pretty important facts.
