Beyoncé sat sadly in the dining room of her mother's house, listening in on the conversation between Tina and Onika. She was holding Adore while they conversed.

"She's been crying. Don't know what you did to that fool of child but she's been stuck on the break up. This is has really taken a toll on her." Tina sighed. Beyoncé wasn't one to show emotion and it was shocking to see her so sad over this. After her mother had expressed her poorly hidden anger by slapping the dog shit out of her neck, death glaring, and gritting a 'fix this', Beyoncé locked herself in her room with Adore to wallow in self pity.

"She was so miserable that when she had gotten her letter she read it and threw it in the trash. I had to fish it out." Tina was confused as to why her daughter had thrown away her acceptance letter until Beyoncé had told her that there was no point in being happy about something that wouldn't last forever. "She got in?" Onika asked, hiding how happy she was. Tina nodded with a slight smile.

"If you don't mind me asking, sweetheart, why did you two break up?"

"I was sent a picture of her and another girl kissing. And from me looking at the outfits it was a few days old. What really made me break up with her was that I trusted her and she broke my trust along with her having so much time to tell me what happened but instead she lied. I don't want to be in a relationship where I'm left completely in the dark about what's going. Especially after everything we'd been through together." She stated. Beyoncé ran a hand down her face and took a deep breath.

I'm such a fuck up.

Tina nodded, understanding Onika's point of view. She, herself, knew that Beyoncé wouldn't have purposely cheated on Onika, the girl that she thought of every single day. The girl that makes her, even in her tough moments, blush and smile. But hearing this, Tina could see where the idea of her cheating could have come from. "Listen, it's not my business but I want what's best for you and my daughter. I'm not coming from a biased place, believe me when I say I was ready to beat ha yellow ass into next month." She rolled her eyes making Onika giggle a bit.

"All I'm saying is, I know my children and Beyoncé isn't the type to do something like that. Should've seen her when she came home from Junior prom. She was so mad talkin bout, 'Mama I'm gon kill him, his hands were all over Nicki like the chaperone didn't say to stay three feet apart'. Solange and I spent that next morning laughing at her. Moral is, she made an idiodic mistake and needs to fix it. She loves you enough to fix this, if you love her the same meet her half way."

"I'll try to be cordial."

Beyoncé came around the corner with Adore who was reaching for Onika. As Beyoncé got closer, tension filled the foyer. Tina excused herself with a subtle look at Onika and left the two young ladies alone. "Mommy!" Adore whined. Onika smiled at the one year old and took her from the blonde, kissing all over her cheeks. "My baby!"

"Can mama get a kiss before you leave, Dori?" Beyoncé pointed to her own cheek and Adore eagerly pecked it. Beyoncé and Onika looked at each other and awkwardly smiled. "How you been?"

"Good. I heard you got accepted. Congratulations." Onika beamed. "Yeah... I'm not sure if I'd want to go now."

Onika's features softened. "Is it because I'm going?" She questioned feeling a bit confused as to why Beyoncé didn't want to go to the college that she had to planned to attend. "No! I just don't feel like college would be... me, ya know? I got some things I could do, figure some shit out." She shrugged, rubbing the back of her neck. Onika just nodded.
