Athena sits outside on the grass and starts writing a letter to jo
Dear jo,
Did you see what they've been saying in the daily prophet recently about halfbloods and muggleborns? It's ridiculous how could they let malfoy write anything in the daily prophet. There's a new teacher here called professor keys and I was wondering if you knew who he was by any chance? He says he knows Meg but then again I think everyone does. Mother hasn't wrote anything yet so please if you have the chance and tell her to write to me and Marlene.

She get interrupted by lily Marlene and Mary coming to sit, marlene looks at her paper "what's got you so interested in writing?"
Athena looks up "I'm writing to jo asking her why mothers not wrote anything yet"
Lily touches Athena's arm "I'm sure she's fine" she lets out a gasp "can't they just leave him alone" all of the girls look over to see James Sirius Remus and Peter all laughing at snape while he appears to be on the floor
"Why don't we go say something to them" Athena stands up ready to walk over
Lily sighs "McGonagall told us to stay out of it and she'll deal with it"
She looks back at the boys and see James pull out his wand "well she never said anything to me" Athena starts to walk over to the boys
James giggles loudly "what's wrong snivellus, cat got your tongue" snape stands up and cusses "that's not nice, guess you should wash your mouth out" he raises his wand and snape starts choking with bubbles coming out of his mouth
"HEY STOP IT" Athena stands in-front of James "what's he done to you" James's face drops
He lets out a little smirk "well it's more like his existence that bothers me" he straighten his back
"James stop being a bully, it isn't a good look on you leave him alone" Athena walks closer to him not breaking eye contact tact
"Fine" James looks back at snape and puts his wand away "your lucky McKinnon was here snivellus"
Snape says louder "I don't need blood traitors help thank you very much" Athena sighs ,the colour in James's face disappear
"Oi apologise to her right now" James says loudly, snape walks away
"Just leave it James, your no better then he is" she stops James pulling out his wand "don't make this worse for yourself potter" Athena starts walking away
James follows you "you know for a fact I would never call you what he just did"
"Just leave it James" Athena yells. James walks away.
He walks back to Sirius and Remus "mental she is he just called her a blood traitor and she lets the guy get away with it" James grabs his bag Sirius laughs, James turns himself to Sirius "what do you find so funny?" Sirius shakes his head "your exactly like she is".
Lily's eyes follow Athena "what in the name of merlin just happened?" Lily walks closer to Athena and tries to grab her arm but Athena shrugs her off
"Some friend you have lils just called me a blood traitor for sticking up for him" Athena storms away aggravated and upset.
She makes her way into the hallway as McGonagall stops her "that was a brave thing you done there McKinnon" she smiles at Athena
Athena's eyes meet McGonagalls as she fakes a smile "Thanks professor" Athena slowly walks away before she calls her name again name again
"Honestly, I've never seen one of James friends tell him how stupid he's being" she turns around and walks away.
Sitting in the ravenclaw common room Marlene's owl whiskers flies in and drops a letter off in-front of Athena, she opens it to see it's a letter from jo "finally" she lets out a sigh of relief.
My dearest Athena,
Yes I've seen the letter in the daily prophet me and meg are furious she had a massive argument with the minister to get him to ban malfoy from writing disgusting things like he has, she's had no luck because everyone loves him. Professor keys is a old friend of mine and megs yes he went to school with us a year above, nice man so please be kind he knows excellent things. Mother has been busy with writing to father and working with Meg, megs been brilliant really helping us aurors out catching the death eaters. I miss you all dearly

A couple of months go by and Athena and remus get closer and form some type of bond, it's two days before Christmas break and there's snow everywhere and a quidditch match between ravenclaw and gryffindor to end the term. Everyone's excited
Remus walks up to Athena playing with his fingers "nervous? Big game tonight" he follows her
"Not really, I have a good feeling" she puts her book back in her bag
Remus scoffs "you should see James he's a wreck, stressing out about the game, I've got to be commentating the whole time" he walks infront of Athena now walking backwards
"Sounds fun, I've heard you before you've got a dirty mouth Remus lupin" she laughs at him
Remus raises his arms "I just get into the game especially when you see James beating everyone it's funny, there all so stupid" he laughs thinking about them
"Well hopefully I beat them tonight and we can joke about how silly they look tonight" Athena smiles
"I'm counting on it I've got 4 bounty's on you against Sirius" Remus brings Athena out to the great hall
Athena stops and looks at Remus "you guys put a bet on me and James?"
He pats her back "Well that's why I'm expecting you too win, I don't want to see Sirius's smirk on his face if you loose" he walks over to the Gryffindor table and sits with the boys Athena sits next to Sirius. James avoiding eye contact with Athena. Remus shakes his head "James she's not poisonous mate you can look at her" he pats him on the shoulder and looks to Athena "don't worry he's always like this before a game" he reassures her.
About 10 minutes before the game Athena goes into the changing room and gets dressed into her quidditch robes. Richard carter walks over with a grin on his face "we win tonight, show them silly Gryffindors whose boss" he jumps up and down "or we can just drink our way through the night in self pity and then vandalise the whole Gryffindor common room" he grabs his broom
Athena nods "agreed" she grabs her broom and grabs Richard's shoulder "Okay rich let's go win" Athena laughs and all of the team walk out to the pitch.
The crowds cheering in blue scarfs and red scarfs, Remus in the far corner next to flitwick and and McGonagall. Richard carter and Angelina Cole the Gryffindor captain stand opposite each-over face to face Richard smiling with a mocking tone and Angelina with a straight face, Madame hooch comes between them "now I want a clean match no funny business here" she points at them both "no fighting on my match, are we clear?" she says a tad bit more louder
"Clear mam" Richard smiles and puts out his hand, Angelina shakes it.
"Alright" hooch looks at everyone "GO" everyone shoots off in they air
"And there off" Remus says from the crowd "Davies passes too stretton, stretton attempts to score a goal" there's deadly silence across the pitch "he shoots and HE SCORES 10 points to ravenclaw" a massive cheer from the ravenclaw side as Athena looks around to try to find the snitch. Gryffindor score 10 points as Athena's eyes see the snitch right under richards feet she dives towards it as fast as she can. Richard sees Athena belting towards him and quickly moves as she grabs the snitch.
"WHERE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME" Richard yells
Athena holds up the snitch with a smile on her face "oh never mind" Richards eyes whider. Remus cheers from the corner "RAVENCLAW WIN MCKINNON GOT THE SNITCH" ravenclaws side stand up and cheer, Pandora was in the corner laughing. Athena land as Marlene runs over to her out of breathe "I'm" she pants "so proud of you Thena" she pulls Athena into a bear hug.
After the match Athena walks out into the corridor too see James standing outside the ravenclaw changing rooms
She walks up to James "You okay?" Athena ask holding her broom
"Yeah I wanted to talk to you" James says "do you want me to help putting your broom away?"
"Uh okay" Athena agrees
he walks with Athena too the broom cabinet "well done you were good" he breaks the silence , he holds out his hand "you just better beat slytherin when we get back after Christmas" Athena shakes his hand
"Deal, I wanna see the look on malfoys face when I beat him"
James scoffs "I can't wait to see the look on snivellus's face". James walks Athena back to her dorm
"You really didn't have to walk me back to my dorm James" she opens the door to the common room
"It's what a real gentlemen does" he smiles "goodnight Athena"
"Goodnight James" Athena smiles back
he starts walking away "I'll see you around".
