For a second I thought I saw a God in front of me. He was far different from the boy I knew long time ago. He's a grown man. A new man. He is so different now. Far from the boy who I played with before.

He stood six-four-feet tall. His broad shoulders can cover the whole view from my sight when I stood in front of him. I can see visible veins on his hands. He looks dangerous and mysterious. Intimidating. And cold.

His jaw sharp, the brows that are arching slightly are thick, pointed nose, calculating and cold green eyes are looking straight to mine. To mine. To mine? Sa'kin nga. Gago.

My warm brown eyes are staring back. My small shaded with red lips are bit opened. I'm not gaping at him. I'm not. Our eyes are locked together. His eyes didn't leave mine when the first cough escaped from his father's mouth.

"Son. Come, the dinner is ready." Tila napako ako sa sunod niyang ginawa. Tumayo ang aking balahibo nang umupo siya sa tabi ko. Ni hindi ko napansin ang pag-alis ni Alessia kanina.

"Son, I suppose that you two knew each other, right?" Tita Trina asked. Of course. I know him. Who wouldn't? Briar Loki Sandoval, the billionaire bachelor. The Sandoval's heir. He build his own empire at the age of twenty-five. He's known for being ruthless at business, cold, intimidating, handsome, rich and manipulative.

"Who wouldn't know the great Briar Loki Sandoval?" I smiled. Who wouldn't?

"The lovely Ailia Sole Santos. Who wouldn't?"

"I've heard a lot."

"I've heard a lot." Hindi sadyang sabay naming ani. We both chuckled at the same time.

"I hope good things."

"I hope they're all good." For the third time, sabay kaming nagsalita. Napatingin ako sa kaniya. I caught him looking down at me, ngunit hindi man lang siya umiwas. So for the second time, our eyes met. I can feel my hands sweating. My heartbeat got faster.

"Cliché." Napatingin kaming dalawa kay Alessia. Nagpakawala ako ng mahinhing tawa habang siya'y walang salita lang.

"Anyone? Who's starving? My adobo looks delicious, isn't it?" Tito Alfredo said. Sinigundahan naman ito ni tita Trina. "Me! I'm starving! And the adobo... Mm.. it's looks delicious." She was already holding her fork and spoon.

The dinner started with a light conversation. They asked me the usual things, like the company, about the company, and I asked them back. It was all light. Except for my pounding heart because, why?

All the time, I can feel his gaze on me. I was conscious. So conscious! He was talking, too but he was looking at me all the time! Pakiramdam ko ay mawawalan ako ng hininga. It's not like he is suffocating me or something. It is like.. basta! It was weird. The feeling was weird.

And when I saw the small smirk on his face, I know that he knows the effect he have in me. He was playing at me. Manipulating.

Jerk.

Bastard.

I talked to him. I answered his questions wisely. Safe. Away from embarrassment and humiliation. Ano ba naman at namimilosopo siya? If he is testing my patience, I have tons of it. And if he is trying to caught me on a awkward situation, he will never. Magaling ako dito. My mother taught me so well.
