Princess Mal of the Isle

Part 1-Mal

My name went down in history as one of the most world changing advents. My name became synonym with freedom and power. But let's start at the beginning shale we.

20 years ago, Belle and Adam from the tale as old as time wed. The whole kingdom celebrated, well the good celebrated. And the bad, well they did what they did best. See when the two married they created the United Kingdoms of Auradon. And the first thing they did was kick all the Villains out. Along with anyone who ever worked with the villains.

They were sent to a place called the isle of the lost, it was a large island in the middle of the ocean, guarded by a magic barrier. So as the royals and heroes celebrated. The villains plotted. For the first year or two at least. Then, of then, they fought each other over who would rule, who would be in charge of this island of evil. They fought for years, but in the end my mother won.

Maleficent was no longer just the mistress of evil but the Queen of the isle and all it's in habitants. Apparently that roll was different than she expected. For once she was named queen, she also had to fix the problems on the island. And while it took long than other would have liked she ended up doing well at the position. I mean, did she care about her people? NO. But she did know that she needed them to stay alive or she wouldn't have anyone to do what she asked, nor would she have been able to make her own army for when they would take over Auradon.

However, that didn't mean the Isle was good, far from it. Most of the food was rotten or grown in bad soil with little sun to help it grow. Fish was the main food on the isle since it was something that wasn't rotten. Gangs ruled the enter place, kids stole, fought and were taught evil and that was almost all that they were taught.

But you will hear all about that latter, now it is my story. I am Princess Mal Bertha Fae- Olympus of the Isle of the Lost and the Underworld. My father is King Hades Olympus of the underworld. He wasn't around much. He didn't stay with my mother, but still said that I kept my birth right as first heir to the underworld. He explained that when I was born that he was married to his wife and Queen Persephone. He said that he never meant to sleep with my mom, that my mom drugged him during one of the months that his wife was off the isle. He has been kind and nurturing to me when he can. Mother doesn't let him near me much. But he and my stepmom Persephone are always good to me. I see them when i can. It has gotten easier as i have gotten older.

When I was 10, which may sound young but everyone on the isle grows up fast, my mother told me to choose my court of advisers and only surround myself with them. I chose my closest allies. Jay, son of Jafar, Carlos, son of Cruella De Vile, Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen(now more like Evil Lady of the court of the Isle but I digress), Uma, daughter of Ursula, and Harry, son of Hook. I considered others, but they were the best plan.

Jay was the best thief on the isle. His father was on my mother's court. And I have known him since I was 5, witch in Isle years is practically a lifetime.

Carlos, he was good at tec. He even broke the barrier for a moment. Sure, he was just trying to get better tv channels, but it worked, and everyone knew that they needed him. Also, his mother was on mine's court. Though I have never been sure as to why, the woman is completely out of her mind deranged.

Evie, she is the only one on the isle that was trained as royal or proper protocol. And she is a gifted grifter. She can convince anyone to give her anything she wants. And again, Mother has Evie's mother on her court for the same reasons.

Uma, first was family, she was the daughter of Ursula so she is the granddaughter of Poseidon. Making us first cousins once removed, though we just call ourselves cousins. And she is a natural born leader, and one of the best fighters that I have ever met.

Lastly Harry, the best swordsman on the isle, minus Uma and myself. And the most loyal person I have meet in my kingdom.

Now I am 16 and we live in our own living arrangements. The six of us, and occasionally Gil son of Gaston, also called Jay's boyfriend, live there on our own.

We were sitting around our place when one of my mother's men came to us.

"Ladies, lords, and your highness, her majesty the queen has requested your presence." the gruff looking man told the group.

We all knew that this request wasn't a request, it was a demand. We all too a long sigh and got up knowing that there was no way of arguing. We walked with the man to my mother's home.

"Mother, you wanted to see us." I started when we entered her "throne" room.

"Yes, deary. I have made an agreement that will let all of us off this retched Isle." My mother to us, her court standing on the other side of mine.

"That is amazing! What is the plan?" I asked as all of us start to celebrate the news.

"You are now betrothed to prince Ben of Auradon." Mother said mater of factly.

"Why would I ever marry him. Or anyone of Auradon for that matter!" I asked defiantly not wanting to do anything related to Auradon but take it over.

"Because, you will marry him. You will unite the two lands as one. And then you will kill him. You will then take over Auradon and bring us our revenge." Mother explained.

"Fine, but I'm still not old enough to get married. Won't those prissy royals find that wrong?" I asked, agreeing to the plan. Being Queen of the world does sound nice.

"That is part of the arrangement. The boy and his chosen advisers will have to live one whole year on the Isle. And you and your advisers will have to live one whole year in Auradon, before you will be able to wed." Mother answered.

"No way, I'm not going to Auradon!" Uma shouted.

"They have prissy pink princess!" Jay augured.

"They have dogs!" Carlos yelled.

"They can't even fight!" Harry continued.

"I could make that work." Evie said quietly to herself with a malicious grin.

"This is not up for debate. We have spent 20 long years in filth, you can spend one year in sunshine to make us rulers of the world!" Mother yelled.

"And you may not have to go to Auradon at all. If the boy choses he can call off the whole thing as long as he is on the isle when he does so." Lady Evil told the group.

"Wait, so not only are you making me marry and watch some Auradon prince, but this might not even work!" I yelled at mother.

"It will work. You and your group will make sure it does!" Mother yelled back, "Now, this is not up for discussion. Your living arrangements will be changed to fit the coming group. They arrive in a week. You are dismissed!" Mother yelled.

Knowing that we could do nothing, we left.
