As I walked into school today I overheard people talking about something that happened during school yesterday. There was a gas leak apparently in one of my classes and a lot of people passed out and were taken to the hospital then sent home. Even the teachers were talking about it. I think it's kind of weird that I didn't know about this leak but everyone else did. As soon as I walked into my homeroom someone yelled my name.
"MAYBELLE! You're alright!" My best friend yelled.
"Huh? What do you mean? Of course I'm alright." I said, confused.
"Maybelle, you passed out from the gas leak yesterday, we didn't know if you were alright because you stopped breathing a few times. I was worried about you but you seem completely fine." She said.
"I passed out from the gas leak? I didn't even know about the gas leak until today. Did the school even get evacuated when they realized it?"
"The school follows the protocol when there's a gas leak, so we did evacuate, but everyone was concerned about all the people who passed out. We found out that the gas leak was just some anesthesia mixed with laughing gas."
"That's interesting," I said, "I'm going to have to look into this gas leak because it was obviously caused by someone."

By the time lunch came around I have heard people continuously ask if I'm ok and if I knew what happened. I ran to the library not even bothering to get lunch so I could do some research on this gas "leak." All I could find though was an old news story about a laughing gas serial killer but that doesn't make any sense. I mean, I'm in a crime class and we would've learned about this in our serial killer unit, right? Suddenly, as I stood up, the world seemed to come to a spinning stop as I felt myself hit the ground. When I woke up, I was still on the ground in the library but it was obviously sunset. I tried to walk out of the school but I was stopped by the security guard.
"Miss, you're supposed to be in your dorm right now." He said.
"What dorm? I have never had a dorm here, I didn't even know we had dorms." I replied.
"Miss, how could you not know we have dorms? You've been here for 4 years, haven't you? You should know about the dorms. Unless... No, it isn't possible."
"What isn't possible?"
"Nothing Miss, you don't have to worry about it. Let me show you to your dorm."
I sighed and walked beside the security guard the entire way to my dorm. It went quiet in the dorms when they heard the guard. As soon as I opened the door to my dorm the guard walked away and i layed down on my bed. My dorm wasn't really decorated, after all I am a minimalist. The only things that are really hung up are some posters and some of my paintings. The next day as I walked out of my dorm everybody gave me a weird look, almost as if I wasn't actually in my dorm, but I was, I mean, my dorm key worked for the door. I looked around for my best friend but when I couldn't see her I went up to one of her volleyball teammates.
"Where's Macy at?" I asked her.
"She's probably in the cafeteria," she said coldly, "That's where she usually is in the morning at least."
"Ok thank you for telling me!"
I ran to the cafeteria to find her but I didn't see her. Did she go off campus, I thought. I wouldn't be surprised if she did. As I started to walk out of the cafeteria I bumped into somebody. I looked at this kid for a second before I ran off campus. He seemed familiar but I couldn't place a name on him or where I've seen him from.
