Three divided kingdoms

The only chapter

"We can't do this anymore Son, we need help." My fathers voice echoed through my mind over and over. "Daichi, as prince it is your duty to do whatever it takes to save our kingdom"

I know he's right, I know what my family expects of me and I'm grateful that they gave me at least a little bit of control, but it's still all so overwhelming

"Daichi, as you know, our country is dying. We are running out of resources quickly and our people are getting weaker everyday." My country has been going downhill ever since the passing of my mother, the queen.

My father tried his best to keep everything afloat but without the love of his life the pressure got to him.

"You will marry a prince and merge our kingdoms, it's the only way to save us, and lucky for you, there are options!"

I can either marry Prince Kei Tsukishima, a cool but secluded man known for his brain and the way he can come up with logical solutions for problems around his kingdom. He isn't seen outside very often but his people knows he cares.

Or I can marry Prince Lev Haiba, a goofy and kind guy who loves his people just as much as they love him, which is a lot. He's not the best with the more technical princely duties but he surely makes up for it with heart and strong ability to make deals and secure that bag.(🤡😂)

"I've never even met them father! How could I possibly chose a husband with these conditions"

"Daichi I order you to go out and meet those boys! You must come back in one week with your decision." My father must be crazy, desperate or both. It's not like he's gonna be missing out on grandkids so what's the hurry!

I was heading to my room to start packing my things as I ran into my best friend, who started as my head butler, Asahi Azumane!

He's been with my since childhood and I'll never have any other friend like him, not in life, or death. (👀)

"Hey man! Where are you going in such a hurry can I help with something?" Asahi asked me, as kind as always, like a best friend should be.

"I was just about to start packing for a trip, I have a husband to find!" Asahi seemed very excited to hear that, every since he fell in love with our palace jester, nishinoya, he's been wanting the same thing for me

We continued talking for a while as asahi helped me pack my necessities and soon I was on the road heading for kingdom Tsukishima.

Once I arrived I immediately noticed the differences between this and mine, no poverty on the streets, happy people with their families, dressed to perfection, the way a kingdom Should be.

As I road up to the castle a million thoughts ran through my head, 'what if he sucks and is a complete dick, what if his parents hate me, what if I end up in a loveless marriage stuck in an endless cycle of depression, dying hope and a husband who never leaves his office' but I'm crazy and those are just stupid thoughts.

While I'm too busy gaslighting myself to notice, a man with blonde hair taps me on my shoulder, "are you prince Daichi?" His loud voice scared me but I managed to answer anyway

"Yup that's me!"(cue raven simone) "I'm
Here to meet Prince Tsukishima, could you tell me where to find him?"

"Well it's your lucky day, because I'm prince tsukishima!" Oh wow, that's embarrassing, but to be fair I'd never seen him before in my life so I think it's fine that I did that

"Well it's a pleasure to meet you, I hope we can transform our new relationship into a prosperous new life with love and laughter." Was that too much to say on the first time meeting? Probably, but it's fine, I only have a week after all
