So apparently, in the anime, it's cannon that Dedede had head trauma as a kid and can't concentrate because of it. Wow.
I'm definitely keeping it as a headcannon, because it sounds like something that would happen. It would also make sense that Metty isn't so overly harsh in the anime; he probably knew about it and tried his best to reframe from being so insulting towards him, since his behaviour in the classroom was caused by trauma as a kid. Ouch, makes you wonder what a childhood he had.
