"Next one?"
Your hair stuck to your forehead.
"Spencer? You there?"
Spencer quickly got off of you, clearing his throat. "You're good."
"But we didn't finish the scene—"
"I-I just know." Spencer coughed, covering the pink colour of his cheeks. "So..."
You opened your mouth to say something, but you couldn't muster up any words.
"I have a lot of work to do..."
"S-So do I." You adjusted your loose strands of hair. "Bye."
"Bye."
You quickly rushed out, not even giving awkward nods to everyone else.
"The premier? Why?" You frowned at Anissa.
The woman sighed. "It's Andy's friend's, and he wants a few big faces to get some PR. Just be a normal person and do a nice thing for once."
"Hey! Maybe I'll be busy."
"You're not, I checked."
"I could make last second plans."
"I'm your only friend."
"Fine! I'll go. When?"
"Tomorrow night." She paused. "Boyfriend?"
You groaned. "Spencer's been gone for like a week, I'll go boyfriend-less."
"Might as well ask."
You shrugged, dialing his number.
"Y/N? Are you okay?"
"Uh yeah, why?"
"You just never call me..."
"My bad." You cleared your throat. "Are you home?"
"Just got back, pretty tired."
"Oh, so you can't go anywhere."
"I can! Where?"
"But you said you were tired—"
"I'm fine! So...where to?"
"A premier for a movie, sound okay?"
"Yeah, of course."
"I'll send my makeover people to you, see you tomorrow."
"Bye."
You hung up. "I guess he can go."
Anissa raised a brow. "Is that a smile?"
"No."
"Sure."
"I'll fire you."
"I'm done!"
You smiled at the flashes of light, leaning into Spencer's side.
"Right here!"
"You guys are adorable!"
"Gorgeous!"
You laughed, nudging Spencer to follow your lead.
"Are we done?" He whispered.
You nodded, leading him to the interviewer.
"Y/N L/N! Say hi to our live viewers!"
"Hi." You smiled, waving to the camera.
"Do you mind if we ask some fan questions?"
"Well—" Spencer glared at you. "Of course not." He smiled.
"Alright..." The interviewer hit a button, turning a phone to face you. "This is Stacey, she's 17, and she's from Dallas. What's your question, Stacey?"
"I love you and Spencer, I think it's a super cute romance!"
You smiled, rubbing Spencer's arm.
"All of my friends and I have been dying for a (your ship name) kiss!"
The two of you froze as the interviewer laughed. "I think I feel the same way!"
"W-Well..." You gulped, looking at a frozen Spencer. "It's just that we uh we—"
Floods of comments asking what was wrong caught your eye.
"But c'mon guys, let's not put these two on the spot." The interviewer glanced at you. "How about another one?"
You felt yourself relax, Spencer's heart pounding against your back.
"That was close," you muttered.
"What was?"
You leaned against the car window. "The kiss thing."
"Oh," he murmured. "Yeah."
An awkward silence. "If you're okay with just a little peck...maybe it wouldn't hurt to solidify that this is real to the people."
"I-I'm okay with that. You?" His cheeks were on fire.
"So am I." You shifted. "Could we uh...practice?"
Spencer blinked a few times. "Practice?"
"It's uh it's been a while since I've, ya know, kissed someone, and I'm worried fans will notice if the first time I kiss you is on video and stuff!" Except, you really had never kissed someone.
"Oh, erm yeah. I get it." Spencer looked at you, his eyes briefly flicking to your lips.
"So..."
The gap between the two of you slowly began to close, tensions building up the way water does against a dam in a storm. You quickly pecked his cheek, practically throwing yourself back against the other side of the car.
"I think that'll do!" You smiled nervously.
Spencer nodded, clearing his throat. "Mhm."
That shouldn't have been so nerve wracking. You gazed out the window, ignoring Spencer's eyes on you in your peripheral vision. "We're good actors, huh?"
He stared at you for a few seconds. "Great actors."
You nodded, looking away again.
