"Let's go," I tell him.

We walk out and down to the parking lot and to my car. I unlock it and he gets in the passenger's seat. I scan the parking lot for his car but couldn't see it. I get in the car and turn it on. He puts his seatbelt on and falls asleep. I back out of the parking spot and drive to the pharmacy.

The car ride was silent. He was asleep and I didn't want to listen to anything but his breathing. I was too on edge to even listen to a song. As I pulled into the drive-through pharmacy, I stopped at the window where a woman was looking at her computer. She stopped and looked at me through the window. Her microphone was in front of her as she pressed a button.

"You're here for pick-up, correct?" He hastily asks. I nod.

"Yes," I tell her. She opens the small little door where I would give her my information without in-person contact.

"Name and date of birth?" She asks me.

"Celia L/n. Six, thirteen, nineteen eighty-three," I tell her.

"Right for methadone. I remember now. Just put your ID in the dropbox and I'll put that in for you," She tells me. I put my ID in and she closes the door. She grabs my ID and starts to type down information and clicks with her mouse. She turns to look at me.

"You know this prescription is a month old and there aren't many refills left, right?" She asks me. My eyebrows slightly creased.

"I didn't know there weren't many refills. She's usually not on methadone so I'm not sure. Is there a way we can refill now?" I ask her.

"I can send a request from you since you're her caregiver. That would be up to the doctor to approve it. I can call and let you know if it's accepted once I send in the request," She explains. I nod.

"Then that's fine. Thank you. I'll just take whatever is prescribed right now," I tell her. She nods as she types in her computer once more. She hands me my ID back before walking away from the window. She comes back with two boxes and puts them in the dropbox before handing them to me. I reach to grab them and put them on Eren's lap. She puts a thumbs up.

"You're all set. Hope she gets better," She tells me. I smile before driving away. My smile drops as I drive into another parking lot. I park in a secluded parking space before waking Eren up. He looks at me and yawns.

"What's up?" He asks me. I point at the boxes on his lap before looking back at him. He slowly picks one of the boxes and reads the labels.

"The fuck is this?" He asks me, confused.

"Methadone. Drug addicts take this in different doses to get off of the dependency of what they're actually doing. I'm not asking you to quit cold turkey because that's impossible. But take a bottle when you feel like you have a craving," I explain to him. He looks at the bottle, skeptical.

"Does it taste bad?" He asks. I shrug my shoulders.

"I wouldn't know. But it's better than doing coke until your nose falls off so take it," I persuade him. He opens the box and pulls out one of the small brown bottles. He inspects it before opening the bottle and smelling the contents inside before looking into the bottle.

"Just drink it and don't think of anything else. You'll psych yourself out," I tell him. He sighs before putting the bottle to his mouth and gulping the small liquid in the small bottle. After a few moments, he lets out an exasperated breath. I look and see that the bottle is empty.

"Good boy. Give me the bottle," I tell him. He chuckles as he gives me the empty bottle. I put it in the backseat and look back at him as I grab the boxes and also put them in the backseat. He closes his eyes in relief before taking slow and steady breaths.
