Have you ever felt like you weren't special or cared for? Or that you were different from everyone else? Well, I did until I moved and met someone. He made me feel good in so many ways. But like all good things, they must come to an end.

After my mom died I was left with my dad. Don't get me wrong I love him, but since we're unknown for different reasons I can't go to school, but that's all going to change when I move to the United States.

My story is different from every other teenager. My name is Cassandra and I'm turning 17, well 1700. That's right I'm a vampire. And my dad... Well he's Dracula. My dad says that I need to be a regular teenager. And well I guess living in a very old antique castle in Transylvania isn't really normal. I'm really going to miss all my family; my grandma, grandpa , my cousins, and of course my mom. Im leaving my whole life behind. I guess the ideal teenager goes to parties and goes on dates. Well I guess killing humans isn't going to cut the criteria. I know that I'm definitely not going to fit in at this new school, but my dad says this move isn't permeate. With my luck I'm not going to have to make hard goodbyes... Hopefully.

The good thing about this move is that I don't have to leave my house it's just for some business that my dad has. I don't really know exactly, vampire stuff. As I was packing my bags I saw the locket my mom had given me before she died it had a picture of her, dad, and me. Part of me doesn't think she's gone. It feels weird. I hate the way she died. Her and dad had a promise; they would last forever. No matter what they would be together and everything would be ok. One Day mom was laying in bed paler then usual. Dad was crying over her shoulders muttering, "I promised-- we promised, I can't and won't loose you." She responded, "always and forever." Sometimes I feel like she's still alive and doing well.

Today was the big day, I'd be moving to Washington, a little old cottage house. Not far from the new school I will be attending; fresh-view high. All the girls at fresh-View wear crop tops and mini skirts. Of course I would not be one of them. My skinny jeans with a silk lace top, long blonde hair, and electric reddish black eyes. Not to mention the cat eyeliner. Well, right when I walked into this place all eyes were on me. As I walked passed all the guys I would hear distant chatter, "oh damn" "hottie alert" or even "that ass." But one boy stood out. Alex. He was different. He had electric blue eyes, and blonde hair.
"Hey I'm Alex and you must be new?"
"Uhh, yeah I'm Cassandra."
He did that cute half smile boys do, "let me take you around school, you should hang out with me sometime -- if that isn't to much to ask."
I blushed and showed a half smile, "yeah I would really like to." We started walking together, talking more, and hanging out more. I knew it was love at first sight. But did he?
