Recently, Lily James, the actress who stars as Cinderella in the 2015 live-action remake "Cinderella", has recently caught herself in a racial tempest.
She posted a picture on her instagram account wearing a dress with the caption, "'Shinderera' premiere in Tokyo. The final stop on our tour and it was a beautiful and cold night, thank you!"
Many people have scolded Lily James for saying "Shinderera" because they believed it was insensitive and offensive to the Japanese language.
However, Lily James has refused to open up about the subject and chooses to keep her pride. Later, a Japanese school teacher later confirmed that the Japanese title for "Cinderella" was, in fact, "Shinderera" and that James was right in what she said.
But, people still believe the actress was a strong contender in racism and she still has herself caut in a racial storm.
