Laura sat in front of computer typing away aggressively. She had one earphone in and the other (her left) hanging out against her chest, that was the side that was facing the window which was wide open and allowing air to flow in freely. She hated the fan that was in her room, it was loud and didn't help with things. Outside was a downpour that had been wrongly predicted. They said it would be a heatwave but instead was biblical flood, she had to cancel plans. Her head turned to the window when a flash of lightning revelled the outline of her boyfriend Ethan who was dripping wet like a dog. She saw him and gasped and got up from the computer and hurried over.

"Jesus, Ethan! You're going to catch your death out there! What are you doing?"

He laughed as water dripped off his face. She pulled him through and he tripped into the room with a heavy bang making her giggle.

"Sorry! I tried knocking but nobody answered downstairs" he explained and she just sighed and nodded. "I thought maybe you were ignoring me".

"No, sorry. Rose is down there and because of the storm I guess it makes it hard to hear - why didn't you call?" He fished for his phone and pulled it up and opened it and showed her the call log. She frowned and looked at her phone and then turned back to him and ran her hand through her hair. "Oh".

"Yeah" he chuckled. "Oh", she walked to him.

"Sorry".

"If you're sorry can you get me a towel? I think the flood has followed me into the room".

She laughed and hurried out of the room, she left the door open and Ethan looked around before pulling his hoody off and throwing it to the floor. He looked at her computer and looked at the file open, she was currently doing some research for her upcoming exam. When Laura reached the shared bathroom she stepped inside and grabbed a fresh blue towel. She closed the door and turned and bumped into Katelyn.

"Jesus!" Laura yelped in shock.

Katelyn chuckled and gave her a hug. "Sorry, sorry I didn't mean to make you jump like that. Did I just see Ethan in your room without anything on?"

Laura cocked an eyebrow. "Without anything on?"

Ethan turned his head to the door when he heard running. He quickly swept up his hoodie and covered himself up, he was wearing his red boxers but didn't wanna be caught. Laura and Katelyn appeared at the door and peeked inside and smirked. Ethan gave an awkward wave, Katelyn smirked. Laura went red and stepped in, turned and pushed Katelyn out and closed the door and locked it and turned back to Ethan. She chucked the towel at him and he dropped his hoodie and caught it laughing and she ran over and tackled him onto the bed and kissed him.

Laura ignored her phone that was ringing on the desk across the room. The caller was Sidney Prescott, she'd call her back in the morning.

The phone went to voicemail and suddenly the door was being pounded on and Laura sighed and looked back over her shoulder and slid off the bed leaving Ethan to once again cover himself up, she walked over to the door and opened it and saw Katelyn standing there this time with her boyfriend Dylan behind her. He was leaning against the wall behind texting and she was holding a phone up to her ear with a pale expression plastered across her face that made Laura start to worry.

"What is it?"

"You need- you need to turn on the news right now, it's breaking news".

Laura frowned and turned to her TV, she rushed over and put it on and stepped back when she saw none other then Clancy herself reporting on the breaking story.

"For those just joining us tonight, two local teenagers are dead following a vicious stabbing at this local cinema directly behind me", she turned while holding the microphone and walked towards the structure. Laura watched and looked back at Katelyn. "The students who cannot be named for legal reasons were found both in the screening for the latest Stab, a story based on true events in the town of Woodsboro. Similar events in 1998 at Windsor College a string of copycat murders terrorised victim Sidney Prescott and with reports coming forward we can now confirm that the killer was in fact wearing a Ghostface costume",

Laura looked at Katelyn and then at Ethan who was watching closely.

"This is still a very active crime scene behind me but we can only hope and pray that whoever is behind this string of attacks is caught quickly. A year ago in Woodsboro another set of killings set off from Billy Loomis and Stu Macher which have appeared to follow on once more, you can feel the fear in this little town. The local university is already considering shutting down and having all classes taken at home. Please stand by as we wait for further confirmation".

"Oh my god" Laura said while turning around too Ethan. She then looked at the others. She turned the volume on the TV off and looked at Katelyn who looked petrified. "Everything is going to be okay, Ethan" she turned to him. "You need to get home and get safe, okay?"

He nodded and slid his wet clothes on. Katelyn gave him a small smile when he brushed passed her and left the building, Dylan followed after him chatting. Laura walked over and sat down on the bed and ran her hands through her hair as red and blue flashing lights started coming through the window, she looked over at it then got up and hurried over and looked around. Two police cars sped past the building and went down the street.

"What do we do?"

"Don't answer the phones".
