"..I don't even want to go to this party, I don't like parties-you guys know I don't like parties.."

"Or fun, or boys, or anything that involves leaving your bedroom, we know," Maddy teased with a scoff, smoothing out her skin-tight leather ensemble she'd shimmied into for the night.

Cassie laughed softly. "Lex, we told you that you don't have to come, but it'll be fun-do you really want to stay here on New Year's Eve, stuck in the house with mom, who's just gonna get blackout drunk, complain about dad, and then dance around to Fleetwood Mac til she crashes on the couch?"

Lexi pouted slightly. "I happen to really like Fleetwood Mac," she mumbled, tracing her thumb against the bathroom door, where all the girls were getting ready for the big New Years Eve party some senior guy from the football team had invited them to.

Well, he invited Maddy, probably looking for an opportunity to smash, but A), that was never going to happen, and B)? Maddy didn't go anywhere solo. She always rolled with her girls, so of course they'd come too.

Even Lexi-Cassie's shy and demure younger sister, who was the furthest thing from popular or even remotely interested in partying.

But she knew that Cassie-although she was kind of being a bitch about it, was right. She was 17. And didn't really have much to show for her teen years. No "bad girl" phase, no partying, no love life. The complete opposite of her older sister Cassie.

She'd always played it safe and kind of blended in the background.

"..But..but you're right, I guess."

Cassie shrugged, applying a final coat of mascara. "Obviously. Now go get dressed, we're leaving in 5."

Lexi gulped, heading to her closet to pick out her best outfit, and decided to quickly fix her hair up into a braided crown, then applied some mascara, blush and a soft lipstick before rushing out the house-behind everyone else, as usual.

{The Party}

Music was blasting throughout the house (and entire neighborhood) as sweaty, drunk, bodies grinded up against each other to the beat.

This was so not Lexi's scene.

Oh well. She'd said hey to Kat and Jules, making a bit of small talk before they headed off towards the alcohol. Cassie had already ran off to God knows where, probably to fall in love with the next guy she brushed shoulders with, and Maddy had been on a mission to find the nearest restroom-leaving the shy brunette all by herself.

She awkwardly bopped to the blaring, ear shattering music before finding and settling down on an empty couch, coughing a bit from the haze of smoke in the room. Everyone would catch up with her in a bit, she figured. She grabbed her phone to look at the time, 10:49. Still pretty early in the night.

Lexi scrolled through her phone mindlessly, wishing she could be more like her sister.

Okay-so, maybe not exactly like Cassie-that was a long story, but just have more of a personality or traits like hers. Confident, outgoing, lovable, attractive.

Desirable.

Truth is, Lexi had always felt like somewhat of an outcast or like an "ugly duckling". Guys didn't really pay attention to her. In fact, her best friend Rue was actually her first kiss-but it wasn't anything like that.

Lexi did, in fact, like boys. They just didn't like her. Or know she existed.

"..Hey, you're Lexi, right?"

The brunette stopped in her tracks, looking up hesitantly to see none other than Mike Parker, a 6'1 senior and varsity basketball player with jet black hair, green eyes, and a jawline so sharp you could cut steak with it.

At least..that's what Lexi uttered to herself in her private daydreams whenever they'd be in art class together.

She began to blush, thankful the room was dark so that it wasn't too noticeable. "Mhmm," she managed to finally get out.

He grinned. "Cool, cool, yea-I've been walking around here looking, and I finally found you. And-"

"..Yeah?" Lexi perked up, blinking.

"..Do you know where I can find Cassie? You guys are sisters, right?"

She instantly deadpanned, feeling slightly embarrassed. Of course he wouldn't be looking for her. Nobody ever really was.

"I..um, I dunno, haven't seen her since we got here," the younger sister sighed, shrugging.

"Damn. Okay, welp, she shouldn't be hard to find-with big ass titties like those," he licked his lips, chuckling. Lexi was instantly disgusted and realized that this wasn't a fantasy or daydream, he was a typical high school boy. Not worth it.

She wanted to speak up, and say something like "hey-you can't talk about my sister like that!" Or, in a different universe where she was a bolder, more confident and less passive version of herself, a simple "Fuck off" could have done the job.

But, she wasn't that version of herself. And didn't really know how to be. She just scowled at him.

"Aw, don't worry, lil' Lex, you'll catch up soon," he mocked, signaling to her breasts. He howled as he turned to walk away, dapping up his stupid athlete friends-you know, the kind that were going to be bald with beer guts and manage a PepBoys or a Jimmy John's sub shop by 28. At least, in Lexi's world, in her mind, that's the way things would play out for the guys who were cruel to her. And one day she'd get the last laugh.

Lexi just sat there frozen, in complete disgust, as her bottom lip began to quiver. She wanted to go home!

Before Mike could get away, somebody stopped him.

"Oh, you think you funny homeboy?" The voice said. "You think disrespectin' females is cool?"

Mike scoffed. "Ooo I'm so scared," he replied with an eye roll. "Who the hell are you?"

"Exactly. You right. You don't know who I am, your lil' sissy ass homeboys that co-sign every wack ass thing you do, make you feel like you the shit? They don't know who I am, yo punk ass senator daddy don't know who I am..so, pretty much, what I'm gettin' at is I could really fuck you up, and nobody's gonna be able to find you-nobody will know who did it. Feel me?"

Mike stayed quiet, most likely waiting for backup from his crew, but to no avail. He just bit his lip, and Lexi swore she could see his skin turning pale.

"..You know what? Whatever, dude." He gave a weak, forced laugh, rolling his eyes as he pushed past the mysterious voice that had been blocked behind his tall, muscular frame.

"Yup, that's what I thought." He laughed.

The voice was immediately revealed to be Fezco, or 'Fez' for short. He'd gone to East Highland High a while ago, and was in the same grade as Lexi, but had dropped out. He was known for dealing drugs and kind of kept to himself, but that's pretty much all Lexi knew. He was the local plug, really laid back, and kind of a loner besides being tight with his little brother Ashtray. Lexi and Fez had also gone to school together when they were younger, but never really had much interaction.

She was both taken aback and speechless as Fez began to approach her, and began to wonder just one thing: Why the hell would he stick up for her?

First things first, I AM JUST HERE TO GIVE THE PEOPLE (MYSELF INCLUDED) WHAT THEY WANT! This is a safe place for Fexi stans. We've been robbed of Fez/Lexi moments in the show, and while I'm still hoping for more this season-I've actually been sitting on this idea for a while and was finally ready to create something! This is AU and they will be the SAME age in this story. I don't want to hear any negative comments about "gr00ming" or whatever.

The title is based on the song "My Favorite Part" by Mac Miller, one of my favorites 💗 People have been saying Angus resembles Mac as well, which I can see.

Please vote/comment/follow if you want to see more of this! I'll have more chapters to come.

Again, I do not own anything related to Euphoria and all rights/credits go to HBO and Sam Levinson, etc. Don't sue me.

Thank you for reading, see you in the next one!
