✨ Brainy & reader ✨

Me and Brainy stood there and stared at papa Blankly and blinked a few times.

"But Papa Smurf! [Y/n] was the-" Brainy starts and points at me.
"No buts! I said what I said and that's it, go and find that flower" Papa says as he furrows his brows, pointing to the outside.

"Uhhh... Maybe I could help with cleaning the lab while [Y/n]-"
"I said no buts!" Papa yelled out.

Me and Brainy stared at Papa.

"Here" Papa hands me a rolled up map, I look at it. I start to open it up to get a better look, and so did Brainy. I looked at him and pulled the map further away from him as I stick my tongue out, he crosses his arms.

"I want both of you to just go and find that flower, no fighting, got it?" Me and Brainy nods in response to Papa.

"Now go already before you cause any more trouble" Papa says as he pushed me and Brainy out of his hut, slamming the door shut.

I looked at the map again.

"I'll take that"
"Hey!" I say as I put both my arms into my sides and form them into fists.

"Let the genius around here look at the map" Brainy says, looking up, closing his eyes and adjusting his glasses.

Brainy hums to himself as he looked at the map, I took a peek at the map by looking over by Brainy's shoulder.

"You're holding it upside down" I point out as I raised a brow and look at Brainy.
"I knew that" He says as he continues to hold it properly and look at it again, I roll my eyes, unimpressed by the asshole.

"So we're here, and we just need to take a left, two rights, go straight ahead, find a creepy looking old tree along the way, go right and then we'll find a whole field of pumpkin flowers" Brainy announces as he points at the map.

"Whatever you say, Sherlock Holmes" I say sarcastically, rolling my eyes and walking off to where Brainy said.

"Hey! Wait up- I mean..how dare you!" Brainy says as he ran towards my side and continued walking.

Brainy and I were still trying to find our way to the field of flowers. Obviously me and him fought along the way there...roll the flashbacks.

"Okay, and then says here make a-"
"Rock"
"A rock?-" Brainy gets cut off once he got hit by a rock that was right in front of him.

Brainy rubs his head as he looked at me, who was already on the other side of the rock.
"Warn me next time! Jeez.."
"I just did"

~ next flashback ~

Silence filled the air as me and Brainy just kept on walking straight ahead.

"Ya know, I could've done this job by myself actually" Brainy spoke up as he chuckled.

"Oh okay then, sure, I'll leave then" I say as I walked the opposite direction of where I was going.

"Good!" Brainy yells out and mutters to himself.
"Don't come crying to me if a bear ever attacks you"

"A-a bear?" I hear Brainy stutter.

I whistled as I kept on walking back to the village.

"Actually, I take it back! Ehehehe, I mean, there's gotta be someone that needs to protect the other from danger" Brainy chuckles nervously as he leads me back to where we were supposed to be going.

I roll my eyes and shake my head.
"But just to be clear, you're paying me cash after all of this" I clarify to Brainy. He sighed and replied with "fine". I raise a fist in the air and let out a "yes" to myself.

~ next flashback ~

Brainy was taking a break on a log whilst looking at the map, I snicker as I crouch down behind him. I then put a spider on his shoulder and hid behind a tree.

"Oh, snappy bug! You ca-" Brainy screamed and tried to get the spider off of his shoulder. I got out of my hiding spot and laughed at him, he muttered.

~ back to present ~

I groaned "which way next, Brainster?" I ask Brainy as I look behind me and raise brow.

"For the last smurfing time, please stop calling me that!" He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Uhh...take a right" he replied, looking up at me. I nodded and did what he said.

I took a right and there I saw a bright field of pumpkin flowers, it felt and looked like it was heaven. I let out a long 'woah' as I stare at the fields, Brainy arrived beside me and pushed me out of the way.

"Look at that" he grinned, I rolled my eyes.

"C'mon, let's pick em' up, hurry" I say as I ran over to the field and started picking up flowers.

"Alright alright, smurf down" he replied and came to the fields too and started picking up the flowers.

Papa hummed a tune to himself as he wiped his table which was wet because of the green liquid from earlier. Suddenly, his front door slammed open to reveal you and Brainy babbling as both of you carried lots of pumpkin flowers.

"What in the- Brainy! [Y/n]! Calm your smurf down and tell me how it went with you two" Papa announces and puts his hands on his waist.

Brainy chuckles to himself in a proud manner.
"Well Papa, I picked out a lot and I mean a lot of pumpkin flowers, just take a look!" Brainy grins and shows Papa the flowers.

"Uhh, well, that's nice, Brainy, but-" Papa gets cut off by me.
"Oh puh-lease, you practically got all flowers from the field!" I say and did hand gestures.

"Plus, Papa only needed a few" I point out.

"Well maybe, but what if he needed more??" Brainy says.

"Well what if he only needed this ingredient for this potion then?? Ever thought of that, smarty pants??" I stick my tongue out, he grumbled.

"Brainy! [Y/n]! Stop it and give me those" Papa spoke up as he grabbed all the flowers from me and Brainy's hands.

Papa sighs "welp, at least i'll have plenty now.. I'm just glad both of you made it here safely, and I hope you'd fight less" Papa says and smiles, he then walks off.

Me and Brainy looked at each other and formed confused expressions at one another.

"Maybe...we could?" Brainy spoke up, lending out a hand.
"Perhaps...we should" I replied as I was about to put my hand over his.

I took one last look at Brainy before speaking up.
"You're kidding, right?" I deadpanned as I raised a brow.

"Obviously" Brainy replied.

"Well then thank God, I'd die the next day if I ever became friends with you!"
"Yeah, no, we're not even compatible with being friends"
"I know, right??"

Me and Brainy laughed, Papa face palmed and sighed.
