- Uh? Nothing... What is this? - I ask, smiling and pointing to the ice cream.

- Well... You don't look okay... And I thought this would make you feel better. - they smile and pat my head, going back to the cashier to serve other customers.

I smile back and peacefully eat my ice cream. It was delicious. Robin was the best person ever. They could not be the best with words but they were the sweetest person. They were a gender fluid pal. We've known each other for some time already since I started working here. They were already hired and they were the person who taught me everything and helped me. They could be a bit intimidating the first time you meet them, but they were a lovely person. I happily eat and feel much more relaxed.

- ______... - I hear a strange voice whispering my name in my ear.

A chill runs down my spine. I turn around and see nothing again. The feeling of being watched was now back and the uncomfort too. I look around, desperate, trying to find who the fuck was making me so uncomfortable, but again, unsuccessful. I fidget my fingers, anxious. I close my eyes and take deep breaths, trying to calm down. Suddenly, I feel a heavy hand being placed on my shoulder. I open my eyes and slowly turn my head, scared. My eyes meet the same yellow bunny costume with a finger on the lips, telling me to be quiet and shushing me. My eyes opened wide, I was terrified. I scream, horrified. The figure dissipates in the air and everyone looks at me, surely weirded out. Robin runs up to me and places both hands on my shoulders, shaking me.

- _______! _______! - They call my name. Unfortunately, I couldn't say a thing. I had never felt so scared in my life. It was like a nightmare, and I wanted to wake up.

Robin had asked another coworker to cover their shift so they could help me. Robin took me out of the cafe and wrapped me in their coat when they saw I was shivering. They don't say a thing while we walk in the park that was close to our workplace. They didn't know what to say but still wanted to comfort me, so all they do is move their hand up and down my back.

- Are you okay? - they finally say, softly as they were afraid of asking that.

- No... I think I'm getting crazy... - I say, sighing.

- Why? What happened? - they ask, a bit more worried than before.

- I'm hallucinating... I'm seeing things, I'm hearing things... It's like a living nightmare! - I say.

- What kind... of things... You're seeing? - they ask, unsure. I sigh.

- Recently, I bought that new VR game. My viewers kept asking me to play it so that's what I did. - I start.

- Alright... And...? - they ask, wanting me to keep going.

- And... Today was the first day I played it. Everything was doing fine but then there's a thing... On the game... That is haunting me... - I sigh.

- What do you mean? - they ask, confused.

- I hear it whispering things to me... I see it suddenly appearing close to me... I feel that I'm being watched... - I start tearing up. It was overwhelming.

- Oh, ______... - they hug me.

I lay my head on their shoulder and hug them back. I needed that, and I was glad Robin was there for me. It was comforting.

- We'll find a solution for that, okay? So try to calm down and forget it. - they say, caressing my head.

- Okay... - I whisper, hugging them tighter.

- Hey hey, be careful. If you squeeze me too much I might die. - they joke. I quietly giggle and hug them even tighter. - ______!

- Alright, alright... - I loosen up my grip a bit. I look down, realizing what I had down. - I'm sorry for making you leave work...

- No, no. It's alright. You are more important. - they smile.

- Robin... - I whisper, looking at them gratefully. As I said, they're the best.

Suddenly, the feeling of being watched intensifies. It was almost like someone was looking at me with anger, burning the back of my head with their furiousness. I look around again and nothing. Robin notices how uncomfortable I was and hugs me tightly.

- Shhh... It's alright... - they caress my head and try to calm me down. I relax and sigh.

- Sorry... - I say, looking down.

- Don't apologize, you didn't do anything wrong. - they put a hand on my cheek and smiled.

- Thank you, Robin... - I whisper, grateful. They frown for a bit and then a big smile spreads all over their face, it was almost like their mind had lit up.

- Come with me. - they smile, taking a hold of your hand and taking me with them through the streets.

I had no idea where we were going, but Robin had a big smile so I didn't care where it was, as long as I got to see their smile wherever was alright. And well, I trust them. I would trust them with my life. Robin looks back at me, smiling even wider, which I didn't even think was possible. It was rare to see them smiling like this, they usually are very reserved. Soon, I finally understand where we were going. Robin was taking me to the town's amusement park. I smile and run with them, getting to the entrance. You two stop at the ticket office.

- Two entrances, please. - Robin says, opening their wallet.

- Let me pay for mine. - I get my wallet as well but Robin takes it out of my hand.

- Nope. Not today. - they say, paying for both our entrances.

- Thank you, you stubborn dumbass. - I say, smiling.

- No problem. - they pat my head. - Now let's have some fun.
