Saturday mornings are the thing I look forward to throughout the entire week.
It's the same routine every Saturday, I wake up roughly around 10, go downstairs to have some breakfast, spend about 2 hours watching stupid cartoons with Toby (my cat) and head back upstairs for a relaxing day of song writing.

My parents are usually way on the weekend as its 'their time' because they hardly see each other during the week. So I'm stuck in the house with my older brother Joe which is alright I guess, I don't bother him and he doesn't bother me so it's like I have the house to myself.

As the time went on I finished writing a song that I was happy with and put it into my box full of loose papers scribbled with song lyrics on.
I put it back under my bed and jumped at the sound of my brothers voice entering the room.
"Caitlin I'm having a party tonight you can stay and join or you can go to a friends house" he laughed before saying "oh wait, you don't have any friends" he howled as he walked out the room.
When we've had house parties before nearly every teenager in town comes not because we're popular it's because they know they can get smashed and take stuff from the house, which is why we now hide valued thing around my house like my grandads ashes and my mums 'fine china'.
I hate it when Joe throws parties because people usually insult us and vomit everywhere which is why I usually go out and go down to the bowling-arcade.

I had a quick shower before picking out my casual clothes (ripped jeans and my stone roses top which has a little hole on the shoulder but I don't care)
I brushed my long brown hair before tying it up into a high pony tail. I grabbed my jacket, phone and some money before leaving the house in the hands of Joseph (Joe).

I walked there seeing as it was a nice day and the sun was still up but dimming down slightly. The walk took 15 minutes but the breeze lightly pushed me along the pavement.
When I got there I went straight into the arcade in which I stayed there for 2 hours.
After I got bored of the games I made my way though the bowling alleys into the little cafe to get a drink. But as I walked along the bowling alleys I heard a familiar unique singing voice.
I looked around to see that Van was playing live music on the little stage they had in the corner, not many people were around him but I was instantly drawn to him and my legs changed direction and began to walk over.

I was now stood in front of Van listening to every word he sung with so much passion, he's eyes closed and slightly crinkled by the sides I couldn't help but notice he's features, I mean he wasn't the best looking guy he was pretty average but I sensed a mystery towards him which intrigued me more.
Once he stopped I clapped which startled him, he became more inclosed with himself and tried to make sense of why I was there.
"That was amazing" I smiled before carrying on.
"Do you play here normally?" I tried to start a conversation.
He just stared blankly at me before answering
"Sometimes, I mostly busk unlike you who gets to go and perform at fancy venues" he scolded me.
"Hey that was one time, when are people going to let that go" I tried to make light of the situation even though I knew he was being rude.
He shrugged he's shoulders before turning around and putting he's guitar in the case.
"So, where you heading now?" I played with the ends of my hair hoping he wouldn't be brutal towards me.
"Well it's none of your business, and quite frankly you'd hate it there" he picked up the case putting it on his back as he walked pass me.
I followed him out the door, through the car park until we reached the bus stop.
"What are you doing?" He rolled his eyes at me.
"I wanna come with you"
"You're gonna hate it, it's near where I live" he's eyes burned through me.
"Right. I've had enough! I'm sick of people thinking that I have such an amazing life because my parents are wealthy. I have problems, family problems I get to see my parents 2 hours per week because they love to work. They leave us to go away on the weekend because it's their quality time. You think I've got the easy road but I tell you I would instantly swap it if it means my family cared about me" I yelled at him as the bus pulled up.
"Alright, you can come" he gulped.
I smiled at him before stepping on the bus.
