(Atia's POV)

"Hey, look at this!"

I peered over Rose's shoulder.

"It's just a fortune cookie paper, dummy," I joked. Rose pointed.

"Yeah, but what's this number string?" She inquired. I frowned.

"Maybe some government message, in code, saying the capital has fallen!" Jack chimed in excitedly.

"God, Jack, you're 18!" Martha snorted. "You have to give up all this spy nonsense!"

"It's not nonsense!" Donna said stubbornly. Jack nodded in agreement and smiled at Donna, which made her face turn red as a beet.

I turned away and saw an important car pull up outside the school.

"Hey, guys, look!" I said loudly. Everyone looked at once, in unison. I couldn't see inside but when the door opened, a tall woman stepped out, followed by three boys who look about our age. I saw a younger boy inside that car, along with an older one. I was still staring, trying to figure out who these mystery people were, when a voice came over the intercom.

"All students and staff report to the Performing Arts Center please," came the voice of our headmaster over the speakers.

I quickly snatched my bag and headed out of the cafeteria, my friend Clara tagging along.

Time to find out who those people were.
