✨Clover x Licorice✨

Depuis le début

"...Is there something on my face? What are you looking at?" Licorice looked confused.

"You're doused in water! How are you fine with that?" Clover looked at him.

"I'll be fine-" Licorice rolled his eyes.

"No! You'll catch a cold! Let me get something for you." Clover said.

Licorice was about to protest, but Clover had already gone to his room to get a pair of clothes for him.

Licorice sighed and waited for Clover.
Clover returned to him, having a pair of green robes in his hands.

"This might not be the best, but it will work." Clover handed him the robes.

Licorice looked at the green robes.
They felt more comfortable than his robes.

"Ugh- whatever- where is the bathroom?" Licorice asked.

"One door to the left." Clover smiled.

Licorice slightly felt himself blush.
He quickly went to the bathroom to hide the fact he blushed at him.

As Licorice dried off and changed, Clover began to brew some tea.

The storm didn't look like it was going to stop any time soon.
It kept pouring down.

Licorice returned wearing the robe.
The robe was very baggy on his arms and stomach region.

"Oh! I didn't realize that it wouldn't fit that well..." Clover slightly laughed.

"I didn't expect you to know my size!- I'm just happy I'm not soggy...I guess..." Licorice mumbled the last part.

"Why did you come to this part of the forest anyway?" Clover asked.

"I just came here for a crystal! Not to get rained on-" Licorice said.

"Oh! This crystal?" Clover held out a magic crystal.

"Yes! That one!" Licorice went up to him quickly.

Clover looked at him.
He wondered why Licorice wanted it so badly.

"Why this one?" Clover asked curiously.

"I need it for the mission I was sent on!" Licorice admitted.

"Oh, wait, are you a Cookie of Darkness...?" Clover looked him in the eyes.

Licorice felt a wave of anxiety hit him like a ton of sugar wafers.

"Uhm... well... no?" Licorice lied.

"Please, don't lie. I won't send you into that storm outside if you were one." Clover promised.

"Swear?" Licorice looked at him.

"Swear." Clover promised again.

"Well... maybe I am one of them-" Licorice admitted.

"You didn't need to lie!" Clover looked slightly sad.

"I didn't want to be thrown out again!" Licorice blurted.

Clover stared at him.
Licorice gasped and covered his mouth.

"D-Did I say 'again'? I-" Licorice started.

Clover had hugged him unexpectedly.

Licorice gasped loudly.
His face lit up with blush.

"My my... You must be touch starved..." Clover mumbled.

Licorice's face was hot.
Clover pulled him closer.

"H-Hey!- What are you doing..?!" Licorice sputtered.

"You just looked like you needed a hug..." Clover soothed.

"I-I'm not a kid! I don't need it!-" Licorice began.

Clover continued to hold him.
He didn't listen to Licorice's protests.

Licorice eventually relaxed himself.
He leaned into Clover's touch.

"There we go..." Clover mumbled sweetly.

Licorice just stood there.
His face was still filled with blush.

Clover smiled at him.
Licorice felt like he was melting.

"Alright. That is enough for now..." Clover smiled at him.

"Y-Yeah... uh..." Licorice mumbled awkwardly.

Clover stopped hugging him.
Licorice longed for more, but he didn't say anything.

"I believe the storm is over now... You could get your robes and leave if you like." Clover spoke.

"Uh... well... I could stay for another hour..." Licorice spoke impulsively.

"Are you sure?" Clover asked.

"Yeah! I'm sure..." Licorice said.

"Wonderful!" Clover smiled.

Both of them did spend another hour together.
Clover made tea and they continued to have small conversations.

Licorice eventually did get the crystal from Clover.
He also helped Licorice get his scythe back.

As he left though, he wished he could spend more time with him.

That longing feeling followed him back to the Tower as he returned home.
