"Mama please, I know you were bullied but it's still where you made your best friends."
"No Indi, Hogwarts isn't a place for people like you."
"What do you mean, like me!"
"I mean, everything is gendered. The bathrooms, the dorms, there's not even disabled bathrooms!"
"But that can cha-"
"No, it can't. I'm sorry Indi."
"Ah!" I screamed, annoyed. "I hate you, I hate you!"
I slammed the kitchen door shut and stormed off to my room. Why did things always have to be so... old fashioned? It's always just "you're a girl, you're a boy, girls can only like pink and play with dolls, boys must like blue and be strong. People telling me my gender. No, I'm not calling you handsome. You're not allowed to not have a gender. You're a freak. You're weird. Eww get away. I don't want people like that near me."
I became very aware of the fact I could now feel my blood, as it rushed around my body. My ears became attuned to the smallest of sounds and my eyes were moving quickly and noticing things in my room I had never noticed before. That mirror is off by 10cm. My light isn't in the middle of my room. Is that fan loud or is it just me? My breathing began to quicken and I felt like I wanted to scream but my vocal chords weren't working. An invisible chain was pulling me to the darkest depths of the pacific ocean. In this chaos my head began spinning and everything was getting blurry, sounds were getting distant. There was only was thing I could think of clearly at that moment was....
"Mum!" I screamed as loud as I could, even though my voice was shaky and unstable from all the tears streaming down my face.
That's the last thing I can remember.
