Antonio's gift ceremony pt.2

Camilo had walked up to me with a smile.

Camilo: enjoy the show?

Bella: of course

Camilo motioned me to come outside with him. I followed him and he took me to a river.

Camilo: this is the river where it all started. We were given a miracle right here. I go here when I want to connect to my grandpa. This is kind of my safe place.

Bella: aw Camilo that's so cute. I'm happy you shared this with me, I promise I won't tell anyone about this spot. It'll be our spot.

I blushed. Hopefully he doesn't find that weird, but I want to flirt a little. Camilo didn't say anything but instead looked at me and back at the river. I could see his face start to get red.

Camilo: I'd like that Bella, but the ceremony is about to start, let's head inside.

Camilo and I went back to the casita and we i said goodbye to him so I can go get changed. Me, mirabel, and Brie are getting ready with Isabella. She is the absolute best at getting ready. The ceremony is about to start so we head downstairs so we could watch Antonio get his gift. I go down and stand at the side. I feel someone's hands on my shoulder. I turn my head and it was Camilo, his face was so close.

Camilo: you look beautiful

I blushed and he smiled. I looked back at Antonio and he wasn't moving. The casita was trying to help but he wouldn't move. He reached a hand out to someone in the crowd. He pulled Mirabel out and walked with her. Everyone was shocked. Camilo's grip tightened on my shoulders. He opened the door and a bird landed on his shoulder.

Antonio: uh huh uh huh, I understand you, of course they can come!

A bunch of animals came running in the casita and we all walked in the room to see a giant jungle. Everyone was dancing and having a good time. I was dancing with Camilo, I'm actually surprised he can dance. Abuela called everyone to have a family picture. Camilo excused himself and went to go take a picture. I noticed they didn't take a picture with Mirabel. I turned to look at her.

Mirabel: don't be upset or mad at all, don't feel regret or sad at all. Hey I'm still a part of the family Madrigal. And I'm fine, I am totally fine. I will stand on the side as you shine.

Bella: Mirabel it's okay l, to not be okay. Just let it out

Mirabel: I'm not fine

I could hear the pain in her voice.

Mirabel: I'm not fine...I'm not fine...I can't move the mountains, I can't make the flowers bloom. I can't take a another night under my room, waiting on a miracle.

Mirabel ran off but I lost her. Camilo invited me to dance so I took up on the offer. He can really dance. I don't think I'll ever get used to it. Mirabel came bursting in the room.
