Thirteen Years of Waiting

It was dark and dim in the room

Whiffing the aroma of sandalwood

The peony nodded in the gloom

Tears fell in an ashen mood

 Branded chest and whip scars

A heart of stone slumbered in mourn

Snow white boots have traveled far

Reaching a halt as it sees a soul he adorns

In a war against longing and time

A warm melody from a flute reunited their parted hearts
