Today was the day I depart from the royal palace into the Emerald Palace. It was going to be a long ride too, probably at least a couple of days by carriage. I went over to my room one last time making sure everything I needed and cherished was packed in my travel chests. Looking around in deep thought I hadn't noticed Maleficent walk in.
"Good morning Thorny."
"Ah your majesty"
"Please we're friends are we not?"
Maleficent and I chatted some waiting for my carriage to arrive. We were talking about how we met in the past and how we grew to become friends. Then she mentioned to me if I were to need anything that I should let her know and it will be sent to the Emerald Palace. I thanked her and told her I will keep it in mind.

The carriage soon arrived and it looked mesmerizing. The carriage was green with golden detailing on the sides and back of it. The servants of the palace took my luggage and we headed to the carriage. There were some people who came to say their goodbyes my friend who is a maid that I met in the library, the royal cook who I oh so loved to prank, as well as the chatty guard who slowly started to grow on me eventually befriending me, and of course my first true friend Maleficent.

The five of us said our goodbyes and I promise to write to each of them at least once a month. With that, I sat inside the luxurious carriage that had very plush velvet green seats with a golden thread design.I sat there and waved one last goodbye to them and stared out the side window enjoying the view of the tall pine forest.

In a couple of days, the sorceress that Qween Maleficent has picked would be here and Sebek did not handle that news too well. As soon as the meeting was over he sped walked to get everything ready even though most of the crucial things were already prepared. Silver on the other hand was calm as ever.

"Malleus."

"Yes, Lillia?"

"There is something we need to discuss follow me."

I took Malleus to a more private part of his garden and told him about rumors that have heard lately saying that the kingdom of the Moors was growing their military a bit faster than usual which is a bit suspicious.

"I see, find any other information on this subject before we make any more conclusions Lillia."

"As you wish."

[Lillia's residents]

It would be a lie to say it doesn't worry me that the moors have grown their military in such a short time span but hopefully this growth is not to start a war. Wars are no good right now, especially since we reached peace between the two of our kingdoms. It would be a shame if the Moors would want to break the peace treaty we signed, all those lives and for nothing. Hopefully, I'm wrong though!

"Lillia may I come in?"

"Yes, Silver go ahead the doors open."

"If you have a moment I have a question about the sorceress."

"Oh? What is it?"

"Is she really one of the best friends of our queen Malifecet?"

"From what I have heard yes but when she will arrive you may ask her that herself."

Silver nodded and then left closing the door behind him. You sure have made yourself the talk of the palace sorceress, though I must say it will be exciting to see what you can do~

How could we even have two or so days to prepare and why is his highness so calm about it! We must make a warm welcome to the palace, not that the presents of our prince is not enough of a welcome but still! Where is Silver I thought I told him to meet me soon. He's probably slaking of taking a nap somewhere. I went out of my room and started my search for Silver.

"Silver there you are, why have you been out naping when I told you that we must make preparations for our guest!"

"Because all the preparations have been made Sebek. Prince Malleus has told me so himself."

"Oh. Even so, that is not an excuse to laze around! Don't you have petrol duty today?"

"Not in another half hour Sebek."

When I was about to turn around to leave I heard steps behind me.

"Prince Malleus! What are you doing here should you not be in a meeting now?"

"I was but it ended faster than imagined so now I'm taking a walk."

So far it has been a day of traveling the relatively calm path. I have started to read a book I brought with me about different magicians and their signature spells. Most of the contents of the book I have read but one name stood out in the section of magician lords. Abaddon. He is one of the strongest magicians whose signature spell is marked unknown. He was the son of Katheren the previous lady of the house Winter who was known for her knowledge of dark magic. Sadly killed in the great war between the humans and fairies. If he's her son he too must poses the knowledge of black magic and probably has some flowing through his veins.

This is good to know since I will be working for Prince Malleus I should be aware of everyone and their magic. I do recall Malifecetnt mentioning I will be working with three other people there. All guards though but one of the guards was the prince's right-hand man from what I understood. It would be good for us to get along hopefully at least one of them isn't uptight on things. See this is why I hesitated because meeting people is such a nerve-racking thing. You need to know how to act how to speak to fit in.

However, I did agree to help Maleficent so I will do so without complaining to anyone but myself, and who knows maybe the people there are nice too.
