A year later

"Miss Alexeev" A man spoke, seeing Katty. She was sat at a bar, had black and red hair which flowed down her back and stood out compared to the silver dress she wore

"What?" Kat asked with her thick Russian accent

"There is a person here to see you... a Mister Steven Rogers"

"Let him through" Kat nodded. A few seconds later Steve walked over to her

"Nice hair"

"Nice to see you again Rogers... what can I do for you?"

"We need you back home... you have been away for a year Kat and I haven't seen you in months... we could use your help with Hydra" Steve answered

"Only because I am the only one who knows where they are. Did you manage to find Sargent Barnes yet?"

"Not yet. We are still trying and Sam said thanks for the tip you gave"

"He needed it. Alright... I need a little bit of time to collect my final paycheck and pack up but I am happy to go back" Kat nodded with a small smile

"Did you go back to Russia?"

"For a while... yeah... the accent came back very quickly" Kat laughed

"That was simple" He laughed

"Well it only took you several month to be bothered to come get me with the offer to come home and not send Sam after me for intel... glad you finally spoke to me since it all happened with the entire torture thing" Kat said

"I just felt too guilty... all I could see everything I looked at you was the entire scenario over and over again" He sighed

"I never could blame you because I told you to let him do it. Steve... I know it hurts you to see someone get hurt but you don't know my full past and thats why I said to let it happen" Kat told him as she stood up
"But the past is in the past. I am focused on getting home and seeing everyone" Kat smiled as she linked her arm with his and took him to her hotel as the men in suits followed her

"Whats with them?" He asked as the get to the front of the hotel

"They are my security a man paid for... I do things for him and in return, I get money and security" Kat answered

"Things?"

"I would say but you will only get mad at me"

"You kill for money"

"No" She scoffed, getting a look from him
"Okay fine, yes. It's a good business and puts my skills to their best thing possible... I have millions in my banks and keeps me going great and off the grid because I am amazing at covering my tracks" Kat explained as she waited for the elevator with Steve

"Killing isn't a good thing-"

"I get, to you killing has always been a big no... to me, it is all I know and all I have known since I was training for it at en extremely young age when I was brought"

"I know but you haven't killed since you became an Avenger... except Adrian"

"Why am I being trusted with the Hydra information?" Kat asked

"We raided a place, looking for the sceptre... someone told us you know every little in and out of Hydra, knew they still existed" Steve answered

"Fools can't keep secrets. There was agreements made, I did small tasks and in return I could get whatever I wanted. It kept certain people off my back but also meant I had good tabs on my sister because I knew they were in SHIELD. Even knew good old Barnes was how he was... and I am sorry I didn't tell about him. We had a promise not to tell you" Kat explained as they got into the elevator and upto the suite she had. She unlocked the door, letting herself and Steve inside
"Wait out here" Kat ordered

"Yes ma'am" They said, standing guard of her door. She closed it and walked to her bedroom

"Nat has missed you"

"You all have, don't bring Nat to the main suspect because she is my oldest friend" Kat laughed

"Fine, we all did. Glad to have you back and your room hasn't been touched at all since you left" Steve said

"Let's just get going" Kat laughed
"After I get my final paycheck and send these guys home" She added, motioning to the door

Some hours later

Kat walked into the Avengers Tower, seeing everyone in the kitchen
"Kat!" Nat smiled as she ran upto Kat. She dropped her bags and hugged Nat tightly

(Happy to see me?)

"да, особенно когда ты просто оставляешь чертову записку на своей кровати!" Natasha grumbled as she playfully but a little aggressively hit Kats arm
(yes, especially when you just leave a damn note on your bed!)

"I am sorry" Kat nodded

"Nice to see you Kat" Clint said as he walked upto her

"You too, Clint. Um, as much as I love the welcome committee... I need to get this upstairs. I will be back down soon" Kat smiled

"Let me help" Nat nodded as she took one of the bags. The two made it upto the room, Kat going in first and looking around

"It really hasn't changed" Kat nodded as she saw all her stuff lined up on her units and shelves

"I made sure of it" Nat smiled. Kat placed her bag on the bed before going to open up her wardrobe
"You left it empty"

"I didn't" Kat sighed as she moved the wodden planks and saw nothing was there
"Someone took my box"

"Box? What box?"

"My stuff from the Red Room kind of box!" Kat said as she then rubbed her face in frustration. She placed the wood back and she unzipped her bag

"How the hell did you afford those clothes?" Nat asked, seeing the brands

"A long story" Kat answered as she started to place it all in the wardrobe

"Long story that I would like an explanation to"

"And yet you won't get it"

"Why not?"

"Because I said so" Kat grumbled as she then put the clothing bags away and opened up the last bag and taking her weapons out

"That isn't exactly fair"

"I moved around a lot... that's all you need to really know"

"You know it was hard not having you here because we haven't been that close since you basically died" Nat said, looking down

"I know we haven't been the best but I am gonna make it up to you... I just got to get this entire Hydra thing sorted out for all of the team. Hopefully find Barnes as well" Kat said

"You would have been useful for stopping Hydra"

"Yeah... heard Fury was killed though, sorry about that"

"He isn't actually dead. He faked it to get Hydra off his back" Nat explained

"Damn, good job they are being sorted out then" Kat nodded slowly
"Look, I tried to stay away from this fight because it is a total shit show I want to try avoid. Hydra and I have worked well together in the past since I was taking over Alexei's place at Dreykovs side. We both know enough about the Winter Soldier programme... we both knew parts of Hydra you're just lucky none of them figured out how much you know" Kat said as she placed her gun in a box to slide under her bed

"Don't treat me like I outed you for that information, because I didn't. I wasn't even there when Rogers found out what you knew"

"I wasn't blaming you at all. I was just stating that most know the Red Room had relations to Hydra and you are the lucky one who didn't get outed" Kat shook her head before walking out her room with Nat following her closely
