Crybaby | Part Two

Zach woke up, tears dried on his face.
His worries about Ari still lingered in his mind.
He looked at the time.
"6:24 PM. Fuck." Zach said to himself.
He turned on the TV and put on the news.
"-And local 16 year old, Ari Hanson was found dead outside of her house. The cause of death was freezing."
Zach froze. He felt an overwhelming sense of guilt.
"Ari's... dead?" Zach said to himself in pure disbelief.
It felt like time completely stopped. He didn't care about anything at that point.
"She can't be... dead.. That's not..."
"That's not fucking possible..." Zach said, in a saddened, guilty tone.
Zach fell to the floor in tears.
He wanted to believe that it was a fucked up nightmare.
People die in nightmares all the time, right?
No matter how hard he tried to convince himself, there was no way to turn back time.
This wasn't a nightmare.
Ari was dead.
"Why the fuck.. Why the fuck does everything horrible happen to me?! CAN'T I JUST BE FUCKING HAPPY FOR ONCE?!" Zach said in a panicked, angered voice.
Zach threw himself onto his bed, hoping to wake up from this nightmare of his.
But no matter how hard he tried, it wasn't possible to wake up.

Zach stood in the center of his dark bedroom.
He tried to gather the courage to go outside.
"I haven't seen the sun in so long.. but i really don't want to.."
He walked out of his bedroom, going into the kitchen.
He looked through his fridge, and then closed it.
"There really is nothing to do around here besides sleep anymore..." Zach said under his breath.
He walked to the front door.
"Should i really... go outside?" He wondered to himself.
He put his shaking hand on the doorknob and opened the door.
"Ow! Fuck!" Zach yelled, being blinded by the sun.
He sat down on the stairs, remembering how Ari used to sit there with him and talk with him.
He felt tears starting to well up in his eyes.
"Damn.. I'm such a c-crybaby.."
He stood up and looked around.
He caught eye of a puddle of water that looked like it was glowing somehow.
"What the hell?"
He walked over to the puddle.
"It's... actually glowing? How is a puddle of water glowin-"
The water grabbed his ankle.
"WAIT, WHAT THE FUCK?!"
He tried to escape the grasp of the water.
"HOW IS THIS HAPPENI-"
Zach eventually got pulled completely into the water.
