It began to snow halfway through the car rides making it icy so they had to be careful. Melinda's phone goes off making her grab it and it said Phil. She answered, "Hello?" Phil's voice filled her ears, "Hey. When you guys get back, we have something important to discuss for our new mission." Melinda nodded, "Alright. We are going to get our killer and then most likely head back soon. Have the others returned yet?" Phil nodded from the other side of the phone, "Mack and Yoyo did. They got back yesterday. Hey, can you pass the phone to Jemma? Fitz wants to talk to her." Melinda held the phone out to Jemma as she was behind her and grabbed it. She looked at it confused before talking to whoever it was. "Hello?" Jemma answered and Leopold immediately answered with worry after he gave a sigh of relief, "Jemma? You ok?" Jemma nodded as Spencer grabbed her hand and looked out the window, "I'm fine. Why?" Leopold got his voice to calm down and finally responded, "I just worry. We're never apart for this long." Jemma smiled, "I know. I am with Spencer, so I am safe." Leopold smiled and nodded firmly knowing what Spencer would do for her, "Good. I'll see you when you get back." Jemma handed Melinda her phone back, before resting her head on Spencer again. Melinda took her phone back and continued her conversation with Phil. "How's Alaska?" Phil asks and Melinda responded snarky, "It stinks." Phil chuckled, "Well, you'll be back soon. I will see you all when you get back." He hung up and Melinda placed her phone away and JJ looked at her with curiosity. She was curious about what she was told from Phil. "What did he say?" JJ asks and Melinda looked at her, "That he has a new mission for us when we get back. Yoyo and Mack are back as well." JJ nodded as they parked and they all got out after they got their winter gear on. Spencer gave Jemma his scarf again, and he wrapped it around her neck. David walked over to the door and tried to open it, only for it to be frozen shut. "What's wrong?" Jemma asks over the wind and David turned to her and gestured to the door, "The doors frozen shut." They all tried to think of ideas to open the door as it was very difficult to do so. Melinda and Daisy had an idea but they were different. Daisy looked at the man next to her, "Derek, kick the door open!" The man shrugged, "I'll try." Derek faced the door and kicked it and not a single movement was made. Melinda finally took her idea a shot and turned to Jemma. "Hey, you got those things that should get any door open?" Melinda asked with curiosity as Daisy looked at her mentor remembering the last time she used one of those, "Like when you were getting to Mr. Chan?" Melinda nodded and Jemma thought about what she asked before running to the van. She goes to her bag and opens it where she finds all the gadgets that Leopold gave her. She finds what Melinda asked for and ran over to her and hands her the gadget before hugging Spencer. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders as her head lay on his chest. Aaron looked at Melinda with worry about the device, "Is that dangerous?" Melinda looked back at him as she set the said device up, "No, unless you guys don't back up." Everyone, minus Melinda, took a massive step back as she put the device above the doorknob and pressed it. She backed up and faced away, so if it backfired only her back got hit. It didn't and it opened the door before she turned and kicked the door open even more, revealing the man they were searching for, but he was dead. Jemma went to walk over to the dead body when Spencer grabbed her back. She looked at him as he looked into her eyes. "No use. He's gone." Spencer tells her as Jemma looked at the man sympathetically, "Poor man. He froze to death." Spencer nodded and began to drag her away not wanting her to freeze to death and get sick. "I know. Come on. Let's get you out of the cold. We don't want you to become the same way." Spencer tells her as he leads Jemma to the car along with the rest and they began their way home. They drove to the airport as Aaron called the Chief, telling him what happened. They got on and they began the fly back to Virginia and Spencer laid a blanket over Jemma, before sitting down next to her. Melinda sat down next to Aaron but looked at Spencer with curiosity. "Reid." Melinda called out and he looked up at her with wonder of what she wants. "Can I talk to you?" Melinda asks and Spencer nodded as he got up and walked over to the new couple and sat down in front of Melinda, as Aaron listened in. He wanted to hear what she had to say because she's never really talked to him before. "I never got to ask how the date went with you two. I take it, it went well by your relationship now, but how was it?" Melinda asks and Spencer smiled at her, "It was great! We enjoyed it very much. Thank you, again. I have a question though." She leaned forward with curiosity, "What is it?" Spencer looked at her curious about the date idea, "What made you take the art gallery ticket to give to us?" Melinda smiled as she began to explain, "Well, I knew from Jemma that she always wanted to go see an art gallery, and I saw you drawing on a notepad on your first case with us. I kind of put the pieces together. What made me take it was that I wanted to see you two together. I haven't known you long, but I hear the stories that Morgan tells everyone. Both of you have been through a lot and I hope nothing happens to what you two have." Aaron smiled at what Melinda had to say and Spencer smiled at her before getting up and walking back over to Jemma. He cuddled up next to her as she moves to place her head on his chest. Aaron wrapped an arm around Melinda's shoulder and pulled her closer to him. "That was nice. What you said to him, means a lot to me that you did that." Aaron tells her as she looked at him as he looked at her and she then placed her head on his shoulder, making him place his on top. Derek and Daisy watched with smiles before he looked at her. "You never answered my question from earlier." Derek reminded her making Daisy try to think of what he asked, then her eyes brighten up before going serious as she remembers. She turned to face him and got comfortable to tell the story, "Oh! Well, there are these crystals that are supposed to cause you to turn into an inhuman. They're supposed to work two ways. The first way which mostly everyone has to happen to them when the crystals break it makes this husk come around you, and if you're not meant to be inhuman you die. The way it worked for me was, I was enveloped in the husk and I broke out using my powers. I didn't know I received powers until a week later. I broke a lamp in the infirmary." Derek took all of that in and muttered, "Wow." Daisy then continued on, "I then met my parents, because a man found me and magically whisked me away to some island called the Afterlife. My mother was the ruler of the land because she trained Inhumans. Then I met my father beforehand but he was trying to hurt everyone. Eventually, I got my powers under control and my mother tried to kill me by sucking the life out of me. My father killed her letting me escape." Derek looked at her curiously then apologetically, "So your parents tried to kill you? I'm sorry." Daisy shrugged, "I had always wondered who my parents were because I was in the foster system ever since I was born. I hacked into SHIELD because there was a redacted document with SHIELD on it. I was upset at first because they were parents and they betrayed me, but then that changed, because I already have a family." Derek noticed the sadness written on her face and pulled her to him. He wrapped his arms around her, as she laid her head on his chest. "What about you? Any family?" Daisy asks and he responded with a smile, "I have a mom and two sisters." She looked up at him interested about his life, "You close?" He nodded, "Yeah, but they live in Chicago, so I don't see them often." Daisy nodded and looked off, "I wished I had siblings. I'm an only child, but I think of Fitzsimmons and Mack as my siblings." Derek looked down at her and moved his arm so both of them could be comfortable. "I think my sisters would like you." Derek tells her and Daisy smiled at him as he smiled back before trying to sleep. They have just gotten more and more closer to each other.
Two Teams in One
The team gets back from their mission and walks into the base as Phil walked over to them and lead them down the hallway. Leopold smiled, seeing Jemma and Spencer happy that they are ok. Jack and Henry ran over to hug their parents and Henry ran over to JJ and hugged her tight, as she picked him up. "Oh, I missed you!" JJ kissed his head before placing him back down. Jack hugged Aaron very tightly, before running over to Melinda. He hugged her as tight as he did his dad and Melinda smiled and hugged him back as she ran her hands through his hair. Jack and Henry then went back to what they were doing before they arrived. "Glad you guys are back! Sorry that you guys couldn't get some rest before this mission, but it's important." Phil tells them and Penelope looked at him curiously, "What is it?" Leopold stood tall and had his arms crossed, "The berserker staff is back." Melinda, Daisy, and Jemma looked at each other with concern and worry in their eyes. Melinda walked away, leaving everyone together as Daisy looked at Phil, then to Derek, and then walked away after her. Jemma held onto Spencer and Leopold with worry about this mission. "What's the berserker staff?" Emily asks curiously and Phil beckons them all to follow him, "Come on! We'll meet up with the others." They make their way around the corner to see the rest standing at the table. Melinda and Daisy were setting everything up as they walked over and Aaron looked at Melinda with concern and confusion, as she frantically set stuff up. Yoyo and Mack looked at them with smiles happy they were finally together. "Great to see you guys!" Mack tells them with a smile as Yoyo heard from Mack that Melinda and Aaron were together. She looked at her, who was frantically setting up, with a smile, "Congratulations." Melinda sent her a small smile before getting back to work as Daisy handed her a file and moved back to Derek. Phil gestured to the Scottish genius to show the newbies, "Fitz." Leopold pressed a button on the table and the picture of the 3D model of the staff appeared. He stepped back and stood next to Mack as picture of a staff was shown in front of them. "This is the berserker staff. We have dealt with this before. A couple found the first piece and a fellow scientist found the second. We worked together with the scientist to find the third and we were met with the couple." Phil explains and Daisy added on, "Just a single touch and you will feel a surge of power course through you and rage." JJ nodded as she summed it up, "So it's powerful." Melinda nodded then added, "And dangerous." Jemma looked at her boss confused, "So what's going on now?" It was quiet for a bit, making Melinda aggravated and Aaron placed a hand on her back, which made her relax. Yoyo and Mack smiled at the couple and after the silence, Phil finally told them, "They found a fourth piece." Daisy looked at him exasperated, "What?!" Jemma looked at him in disbelief, "There were just three. Dr. Randolph told us there were only three." Phil begins to tell them and looks at Melinda at the end, "Well, they found another piece. They had someone touch it, and they are keeping him away from everyone. The piece is being protected. No one can touch it. Especially you May." Melinda looked at him with a serious look on her face as the team looked at her with different reactions. Phil turned to walk away as Daisy looked at Melinda with knowledge of why he didn't want her to touch it. The rest looked confused, not knowing why they didn't want her to touch it. "I'll touch it if I have to." Melinda defends making Phil turn back towards her as he could see the urge to argue in her eyes. He knows she's had touched it before, and managed to hold all three pieces, but he worries how it will go with all four. "Fine." Phil sighed as the team watched on at the stare Melinda was giving him. Aaron, also, didn't know what to do as he's never seen that face before. "Where are we going?" Mack asks and Phil responded simply, "Bolivia."
