"I don't know the location"

"You don't know? Don't you have the longitude and latitude on the GPS? What's the name of the ship?"

"Sewol, it is Sewol"

On the night of April 15, 2014, the Sewol Ferry departed inches Port, Korea. 476 passengers, including 325 students on a school trip to Jeju Island, were on board.

8:56am

"Please don't move. Stay put. Hold on to available pillars and stand by."

9:26am
The first helicopter arrived on scene. The ship was almost 90⁰ tipped over.

9:35am
Patrol Boat 123 arrives.
It was the only commanding rescue boat at the scene that maintained communicating with the Coast Guard HQ.

9:47am
The captain abandoned ship onto 123, leaving passengers on board.

The Sewol started to sink at around 8:49am. When the captain escaped more than half the Passengers were still om board. Instead of intensifying the rescue operation, the government agencies repeatedly requested a camera to be sent in for their internal reporting.
