Prologue.

Many loved and adored the Madrigals, but it will always be the same reason why. It's because of Alma, the one who led and took responsibility even if she just had lost her husband and had three newly born babies, the burden was on her to look after hundreds or thousands of families. And then, a miracle came, the impossible happened, the candle that which light their way in the dark burned brighter than a usual one, making a paradise hidden inside enormous mountains. Some may think it was Pedro's sacrifice that made the magic happened, and that they were more than grateful. Up until now, the town's people we're still grateful for the Madrigals. But not all people will be swayed with the kindness and goodness of the family Madrigal that they show of

Estella curiously looked at the green glowing light behind the door of their casa, the door that led into the room where her Abuelo do his things, his study room. That was restricted, any family member wasn't prohibited to go inside unless called upon, "Estella!" Estevan, Estella's father called for her in the living room

"Yes Papa?" she responded making her way down to the ground floor where her father is. "Have you seen my reading glasses?" he asked picking up a pillow on the sofa seeing if the object he was looking for was there, "I saw it on the kitchen counter earlier"

"Gracias, corazon. By the way your Abuelo's calling for you by the town's church" her father kissed her right cheek, immediately going into the kitchen. Estella furrowed her brows thinking of what could her Abuelo want to for him to call her at such time of day

The people of Encanto were bustling and hustling all around every corner, preparing for the gifting ceremony of the youngest Madrigal, many greeted Estella seeing her presence, "Woah there" she phrased almost bumping into someone who had flowers on their back, struggling to get it to where they wanted them to be

"Abuelo, Papa said you called for me?" Estella asked as soon as she greeted her Abuelo, "Ah Catalina! Si, si I have called you here to know your opinion about building a town's market here, wouldn't it be good?" her Abuelo asked not sparing her a glance

CATALINA ESTELLAR SANTIAGO. People mostly calls her Estella for short, but only her Abuelo calls her Catalina. She was named after her grandmother that died a few weeks after her birth into the world. Estella was as sweet as sugar, intelligent, polite, humble in fact many words can describe her personality. Her Abuelo adored her, but doesn't know how to show it or verbally say it

"Well it is only logical and convenient to build a market here since all the vendors and shops will be at one place and maybe more people will be encourage to start a business once they have heard of the plan you are thinking of Abuelo. Is Enrique going to part take in this?" she stated bringing her hands behind her mimicking her Abuelo's position, she heard him hum in agreement

"In fact, he already got the structure and design, I just needed your insights about it" this was one thing they would bond over, even though Estella is just eighteen years old, she has shown quite the skill for logical and practical thinking and many praise her for that because no child has shown skills like that at an early age and her family is proud of her for that, "Do you need anything else Abuelo?"

"Oh nothing, I just called you here for that. Go along your day and be back before the ceremony starts, we leave before six in the evening"

She slightly bowed her head, "Understood Abuelo"

Walking away from her previous position, she accidentally stepped on someone's dress almost tripping them, "Oh my, are you okay?" she asked but her eyes widened in realization of who that person is

Isabela Madrigal

"What is your problem?" she annoyingly uttered making sure not to attract any attention, "Isabela..." Estella started taking a deep breathe out, "I apologize, it was an accident... It's not my fault that you have such a long dress that it would pass as a rug by how long it is" Estella spitefully stated making the girl she's talking to gasp in shock
