Beifong Mansion

[Third Person POV]

In the city of Musutafu, Japan, the sun was rising and the birds were chirping, creating a sense of peace. "Why not?!" A voice yelled from inside a mansion, shattering the sense of peace. That voice came from (Y/N) Beifong, son of Lao and Poppy Beifong. "Because I said so!" (Y/N)'s father yelled, making the boy run off to his room and slam his door shut. The two were currently arguing due to (Y/N) asking if he could attend UA, the most prestigious hero school in Japan. The 'Hero' part is what they were arguing about. (Y/N) was blind and short, making his parents think that he was fragile and could easily be harmed. Unbeknownst to them, however, (Y/N) was nowhere near that thought. His Quirk helped him to easily defend itself, and he had worked hard on his Quirk, to the point where he could basically see all his surroundings with it.

"Honey! What's wrong?" Poppy asked as she came running into the room that Lao had yelled from. "I heard shouting and came here instantly!" She then said, her face filled with worry. Her husband let out a sigh before sitting on one of the chairs in the room. "It's (Y/N), he wants to go to UA," Lao answered, causing Poppy to make an audible gasp. "What did you say?" She asked him. "I obviously told him no. Then he tried to convince me and I told him no once again, so then he got mad and started yelling." Lao answered, throwing the blame onto his son. Poppy let out a sigh of relief after hearing her husband's answer.

"You did the right thing, honey. UA is way too dangerous for a frail blind boy like him." Poppy said as she put her hand on her husband's shoulder and looked towards her son's closed door. Seconds later, as Poppy was about to leave, (Y/N) came running out of his room with a smile on his face. "The Entrance Exam!" (Y/N) exclaimed, leaving his parents with a confused look on their faces. "There's an entrance exam! You don't just immediately get into the school! There are probably precautionary measures to ensure that examinees don't get hurt! If I can pass the exam, wouldn't that mean that I can attend UA?" (Y/N) explained to them, making his father sigh again.

"Fine." His father said, shocking Poppy. "Promise!" (Y/N) yelled, hoping that his father wasn't just saying anything to distract him. "I promise that I'll let you go to UA if you pass The Entrance Exam. I'll even you put in a recommendation so that you get a harder entrance exam." Lao said, making (Y/N) cheer before running to his room. "Are you crazy?!" Poppy yelled to her husband angrily. "Poppy, did you see the way he yelled earlier? This is the first time I've seen (Y/N) this passionate about anything. Besides, there's a small chance of him passing, his Quirk isn't that good." Lao told her, not knowing about the power his son's Quirk held. "You better be right!" Poppy shouted before storming off.

UA Building

About an hour later, Nezu, the principal of UA, was sitting in his office when got an Email. 'It says this is from Lao Beifong. Isn't he the founder of a famous refinery? What could he want?' The rat/bear thought to himself. "He has a son?" He muttered to himself after reading the Email. "I didn't know he had a son, let alone that he wanted to put in a recommendation for him. He didn't say what middle school he attended or anything of the sort, was he homeschooled?" Nezu asked himself in a confused manner. "I don't see why he can't come." He then said before sending back an Email telling Lao when and where (Y/N) should come for the exam.
