Ren smiled at the enthusiasm from Tatsumi and Ryuko.

Joker: Good, because we might just have to rely on that recklessness of yours.

They continue walking through the palace before coming across a locked door in the palace. Joker, Skull, Panther, and Mona already knew what this meant and had looks of hesitance on their faces, the rest only had looks of confusion.

Skull: Panther, if you don't wanna-

Panther: I've seen it before; I can see it again.

Ryuko: Woah, what's with all of this, now? I thought we were having a good time, why do you look like you're about to watch your dog die?

Joker: You're about to see how bad Kamoshida really is.

Joker went into a room in the palace and started picking up books and placing them in shelves.

Tatsumi: What are those for?

Joker: Kamoshida has a secret door in this room that has the key that'll open the door ahead. The first one was about the King, the next the Queen, and finally, the slaves... They were supposed to be representations of what Kamoshida was doing in the real world, only more... Distorted.

Ryuko walks over and picks up a few books and opens them. She got curious to see just how bad this Kamoshida guy was for herself. After a while of reading, she started to notice that something was off.

Ryuko: Ren, there's something that ain't addin' up here.

Joker: It's Joker, and what is it?

Ryuko: You said that Kamoshida was supposed to be this evil shithead, right? And that these books here were supposed to reflect that?

Joker: Yes, and yes, why?

Ryuko: Because these books here aren't helping your case.

Panther: What are you talking about?

Ryuko: It says here that the slaves and queen revolted against the evil king and took him down.

Skull: "The rebellion of the slaves." That's sure as hell not what we saw last time. Accurate, but not what we saw.

Queen had also taken the time to read some books and she got a similar result.

Queen: "The Queen of hearts." It says here that the queen was being force by the king to be by his side and pretend to be his lover.

Ren had decided to look at the book he was about to put in a shelve and read the title. "Kamoshida, the utter bastard king of lust and lies."

Mona: Yeah, there's definitely something wrong here.

Mako: Maybe Kamoshida really did change his ways? You guys did change his heart right?

Violet: If that were the case then would he even have a Palace? I thought only bad people have Palaces.

Oracle: Well, there is room for exception. Maybe he was feeling so bad that it eventually distorted his view of reality enough for this palace to form.

Queen: That is a possibility. But that would leave into question why Kamoshida was back to his old self.

Tatsumi: It doesn't matter why this palace is back, what matters is that people are getting hurt because of it and we have to take it down.

Joker: Tatsumi's right, we should leave the questions for later. Right now, we have to hurry up and deal with Kamoshida.

He puts the last book in the shelf and a secret passageway opens to reveal, again, something that Joker wasn't expecting. The room was covered with pictures of Kamoshida along with some mechanisms, torture and execution mechanisms.
