Chapter 6

As people got somewhat drunk in a couple of hours, the party moved to the nightclub nearby. Harry and Louis walked out of the store side by side. Louis paused to light a smoke. Harry stopped by him without saying a word, just looking at the cars passing by.

The car lights were dancing on Harry's beautiful face. Louis wished he could carve this image in his brain forever. And, totally oblivious to the long silence, Louis automatically began to search for words that would describe Harry.

His lips probably taste like almonds. Or dope. Kissing Harry would probably feel better than being high or drunk.

Louis hungrily sucked in the tart cigarette smoke.

His eyes are like gemstones, shiny and mesmerizing.

Louis squinted his eyes, digging his memory for the name of the gem Harry's eyes reminded him of.

"Let's take my car," Harry offered and started walking toward the parking lot a couple of minutes later.

"Emerald," Louis whispered to himself, trying to keep up with the tall, dark figure quickly sliding between cars. He shoved his hands deep in his pockets, beginning to feel the coldness of the fall night.

Louis smirked as they stopped by the classic black Mercedes. The car fit Harry so well. Shiny, classy, dangerously attractive. Louis nodded his head in silent approval, winning a big happy smile from Harry. Even though he was more of the race car guy himself, Louis knew a classic when he saw one. It made perfect sense for Harry to drive this beast.

The boy has good taste. Expensive too...

He opened the passenger seat and got in.

"Nice ride, Curls. I am impressed. How did you even get this baby?" Louis said, running his fingers over the soft leather on the seat.

Harry started the car, those emeralds shining in the darkness. He tilted his head to listen to the motor roar, "My sugar daddy got it for me."

Louis' eyebrows jumped high on his forehead, "Sugarda..." he stopped himself halfword. "I meant where you bought it. It looks antique. But okay..."

"Hahaha. I am joking, relax! I work for Gucci. I got connections." Harry laughed loudly, driving out the parking lot.

"Have you seen all those rich old men at the opening? I bet they all want to be my sugar daddies," he continued with a wicked smile.

"Are you currently looking for a sugar daddy?" Louis said with a half-smile, restless hands on his knees.

"Are you trying to apply for the position?" Harry suddenly looked at Louis with a serious face. Only to break into laughter a second later.

Louis relaxed in the seat, giggling into his fist. Here, sitting in a car so close to Harry and alone, he finally felt like is living his own life.
